Tim was my dad's dentist. Tim helped me by advising me that another dentist in Shoreline was leading me astray my stating that I needed so many crowns when I really did not. I appreciated that honesty. However, Tim is also VERY expensive and does not take insurance. In light of taking about 30 minutes to do two very simple fillings and charing about $800, I felt like was not getting the value that I should. I grant that he stuck to his original quote so he was never dishonest. It was simply that other dentists would have done this simple exercise for far less and just as well. I was also disappointed that his office did not send the x-rays I requested to the new dentist - thus I had to go through quite a bit of pain and expense to get a whole new set of x-rays. I am still evaluating the one crown he did for me. I have had some pain way after the fact - so stay tuned on that one. I am sort of tossed between a 3 and 4 here. I do expect Tim will always provide quality dental service - so I will give him a 4 at this time - but you will pay through the nose to get. And he is a pretty nice guy - though I have found every dentist is very nice.

Dr. Butson is great. He is really friendly and genuinely nice -- not to mention he is a great dentist. He did the non-surgical part of my dental implants. I felt so comfortable in his office that I continue to see him for my cleanings. He does some teaching at the University of Washington dental school so he keeps up on all the latest innovations in dentistry. He's pretty humble, but I get the feeling he is well respected in the industry. He is busy, but he always will find time to squeeze me in. www.drbutson.com
