I highly recommend these people. The night before New Year's Eve, a crowned molar erupted in pain. Great timing. New's Years Eve, I found most dental offices to be closed or on short hours. My previous dentist and other dentists I contacted had answering machines on and none got back to me on the 31st, presumably because of the holiday. At Gentle Dental, a living human answered the phone and set me up with an appointment a mere hour-and-a-half later. The dentist, Dr. Bala, and the staff were efficient, polite, kind and appropriately concerned, nice folks. The problem was diagnosed and promptly addressed for the time being. What could have turned into a stressful dental pain mess of a three-day holiday weekend got headed off, thanks to these good folks. So, yay !!!! My only substantive suggestion is that it would be good if their practice got digital x-ray equipment, as digital exposes the patient to a preferable lower dose of radiation.

My boyfriend just started going to Gentle Dental in Ballard (right above Anthony's near Shilshole) and we are pleased with them. They got him in pretty quickly (about a week) and have a special that you get free whitening with an initial exam + x rays. They also do an entire dental plan for you detailing all the work that should be done and how much each of it will cost (with an estimate of your insurance coverage for each piece). They are all really nice and they also do orthodontics. While we were there we saw patients ranging in age from around 8 years old all the way to 70s.
