And get into my house! Though I thoroughly enjoy SUBS I must say that since a new owner came to town the sandwiches have not been as deliciously satisfying. The amount of food on each has decreased almost by half! Even though they are still tasty, I'm still waiting for that knock your socks off big, tasty, melt in your mouth SUB. I still order, but too many more half-the-meat sandwiches and I may have to git!

Ok. So, they have nice bread. I'm a fan of the honey wheat. The veggies seem fresh. I can't speak to the meat - because I'm a tried and true Veg. But I worry about the clean-factor. I have never seen the staff wash their hands. Half the time time they look strung out and seem irritated to be at work. The last time I ate there - it took 30 minutes to get a 6" veggie sub. When I suggested that an apology might be appropriate (they had forgotten about my order) - I got a shrug. Huh?

Lots of gals from my work order lunch from here, since they deliver. I've thrown an order in once or twice and have always been disappointed. The bread is always rock hard, which makes the sandwich super hard to eat. I know this will sound sacrilegious, but I'd rather have Subway. Or even better, a pita from Pita Pit!

I love these sandwiches. They are huge, cheap and delicious and they deliver. Delivery can take time during peak hours so order early. They are definitely better than Subway.

SUBS is a great sandwich shop on the Ave and 50th, and after one trip there, you'll wonder why you ever listened to that annoying Jared from the commercials. The sandwiches at SUBS are so much better than anywhere else I've found. They have tons of fresh vegetables, lots of great cheese to choose from, and the portions are huge. If you're jonesin' for a sub and unable to leave your couch, they even deliver (on those kicky little scooters, no less).

SUBS is a great place to get a good hearty sandwich. The bread is so soft and baked to perfection. I love the honey wheat. They also prepare it to your liking with whatever spices or meat of your choosing. These sandwiches are huge so if your a light eater I suggest getting a half. The atmosphere is really mellow and laid back. You order, sit on a stool, read a paper, and wait for your awesome sandwich. I recommend going before or after lunch time. They get slammed during the afternoon.

S.U.B.S. sandwiches come in a ton of different varieties - Italian (with 8 different options), Veggie (4 options), Hot (5 options), Salad (3 options) and cold (4 options). The best veggie sub is the avocado and cheese, though it is understandably heavy as well. Prices range from $3.50 for half a sub (4 inch) to $20 for a 2 foot sub.
They supposedly deliver as far north as 80th, south to the bridges, west to Stone, and east to 45th. Delivery is free.

Around the Ave there are a lot of sub places in the area. One of which is this one. It is kind of a hole in the wall place. People that come here are the people that keep coming back like myself. I order to go from this place at least 2 a week, and every time it is as good as the last. In addition, if you decide to go here you have to get your sandwich on the honey wheat bread.

S.U.B.S is most famous for their Italian subs which include Provolone cheese and a combo of meats such as Mortadella, Copacolla, Prosciuttini, Dry Salami and Pepperoni on homemade bread. If you are unsure of the meats, S.U.B.S. provides a meat glossary -- so you understand what type of meat you are getting. S.U.B.S. also has a great selection of other sandwiches, including some hot sandwiches and veggie sandwiches.
S.U.B.S. does mostly take-out business, but they have a wall full of stools for people who can’t wait to take the subs home with them.
If you live in the U-district, you are lucky S.U.B.S. also delivers. However keep in mind, S.U.B.S. closes relatively early – so you are still stuck with Subway for those late night munchies.

Subs is a small cut above the standard Subway. Like just about any sub shop, you can get any of a variety of meats and cheeses, spices and toppings. It’s quick and convenient and reasonably priced. They do party sized sandwiches and have delivery available in the U-district. There is no pretention here—just honest grub.
