This is the flagship store in downtown Seattle. I could spend hours and hours here. They have everything you need - for anything you might need to do outdoors. Like a previous reviewer, I always leave here ready to go hiking, biking, sky-diving - whatever! Someday I'm going to try the famous rock wall in the entrance, but for now I'm content to watch and be amazed. Definitely check out the twice yearly garage sales!

If you don't like the prices now, you'll like them later. They'll love the clearance prices as they are sometimes more than half off. They know alot about the outdoors and will find you what you need to make a trip possible. Without them, I don't know where I would buy my gear. They have good locations an have great sales. Their 100% satisfaction guarantee is unbeatable.

I admit it; my bike sat in the rain all winter. The place I bought it wanted 2 weeks before I could get it in, then another two weeks for a tuneup.
I called Recycled Cycles; "bring it on in. Well, yes, today."
I showed up "let's see. You need a new cable. I can bang this out in ten minutes."
Any bike shop can give you some attitude because bike enthusiasts are a cliquish bunch. At R.C. I got the feeling they wanted to recruit, instead of exclude.
Thanks for the quick and professional work and the uncomplicated labor and parts rates !

Recycled cycles used to be the place to buy that random used bike part for your junker. Now they sell new bikes as well as bikes assembled using recycled parts. It's not as inexpensive as it used to be but it's still less expensive than new parts and the staff are knowledgable. They also do bike repair though haven't had my bike serviced there.

You get a lot of macho attitude i think just about any bike shop you walk into, but as far at these guys go, it's pretty tolerable and somerimes even downright friendly. i even saw a female mechanic working there once. Also one time they attached a light wrong to the back of my rack and when it got all mangled in my wheel, they replaced it free. nice. they have a good newsletter too, with coupons and info about products and classes that they offer.

More
The name "Perfect Wheels" comes from the owner's philosophy that hand built wheels are superior to machined wheels, in terms of performance and durability and ride quality.
Larry, the owner and (I suppose only) mechanic and shop keeper, provides personal repair, fitting, and builds.
The shop is small, and there isn't much in the way of accessories or apparel. However, there are a variety of bicycles on the wall and in the window, which incorporate a wide range of options for different riders. The builds are targeted to commuters, touring, casual and performance-minded riders.
If you buy a bicycle (or just a wheel), everything is customized by you, and built by Larry, the owner.

Big bicycle stores what to move inventory off their sales floor even if means selling one that doesn't really fit the rider all that well. If you're going to spend a lot of time on your bike it *must* fit correctly. Il Vecchio is a small, custom shop. You'll spend more money but you'll end up with a bike that is made exactly to your unique specifications.

I have been shopping at Gregg's for years and the selection and service never cease to amaze me. I recently stopped by to purchase a new pair of cycling shoes. The woman who assisted me was extremely helpful and patient. I am very picky with my shoes and she humored my interest in trying on every shoe in the store. Gregg's had multiple performance oriented shoes in my size, but I went with the SIDI's. While there I found some awesome looking jerseys (purchased 2) and the parts guys helped me pick up some new lube. Gregg's is surely bigger than the store located in my neighborhood, but they have earned my business over the years with good service, great selection and friendly staffers.
