He is a knowledgeable about what the city requires regarding permits etc. He is the only person I recommend for roofing. I have found his pricing to be competitive and fair.

Lau outbid all the larger roofing companies. So much so that I was worried. But then he got in there and got the job done. It took only a few days for a 3000 square foot home. He brought in his crew and they worked their tails off and then they were gone. My fence guy kind of took his time and came when he wanted to. Lau got straight down to business. The results are great. I recommend him to my friends and anyone I hear needs a roofer.

The day after we moved into our house, a 60 tree fell through the roof. We had been planning to hire Lau for a different job, and decided to hire him and his crew for this much larger job. VERY glad that we did! He was able to get started within a couple of weeks (in the middle of a very busy season) and his crew did a great job. He added some necessary venting, as well as doing some incredible drywall work on the room that was damaged (from the fallen tree). His rates were more than reasonable, and we felt that he was really looking out for our interests (which seems to be rare among contractors).

A bunch of shingles blew off my roof during the recent wind storm, and after calling Jorve (who hasn't called me back yet), and A Better Roofing (Alan came out to take a look at my roof before he told me that they really only do new installs, and not repairs), I found the other reviews of Lau's Construction here. I called on Monday morning, Lau came out on Monday afternoon, the crew was on my roof Tuesday morning, and done within a couple of hours. The work was solid, the crew was professional, and the clean-up was great. I am a very satisfied customer, and will call them again for future work.

One of my real estate clients gave me the head's up on Lau a while back, and I think he did the roof on my last house before I finished buying it. Anyway, my buddy here in Ballard got a great price on a fairly sizeable roof job and they did wonderful work, cleaned up the job site, and it included new built-in gutters (typical of a mid-century house).

After I called Bruce's, Jorve, A Better Roofing Company and others I called Lau Construction on the recommendation of others here on Judy's Book. I was very careful to compare the quotes I received and Lau came out with the very best bid. Lau was easy to deal with and his crew was very professional. I felt that Lau was very honest with me and he did his best to give me the kind of roof I wanted. If you want a new roof and don't want to feel like you paid too much you should call Lau.

We always refer our clients to Lau Construction for roof repair/replacement. We've been using them for over a year now and they ALWAYS do a perfect job and Lau's quotes are very competitive. Each job has been done in a timely manner. Even in the middle of the job you can barely tell they're there. The job site is immaculate and when they leave they take every nail, staple and piece of paper with them. BEAUTIFUL!

Lau and his team stripped-off three layers of shingles, replaced all the plywood, installed two skylights and finished installation of a 30-year roof - IN ONE DAY. I was utterly amazed, and his crew cleaned-up every last piece of litter. I had a few estimates before hiring Lau, but I appreciated his no frills, down to business approach. Furthermore, I consider myself rather anal about home improvement projects so I was carefully inspecting his team's job; however I found no imperfections. They delivered the project with a quickness! Don't waste your time with brand name contractors like Jorve, just call Lau.

I've seen good, bad, and mediocre contractors. Lau is one of the best. We were so pleased with their work replacing our roof, that we hired them two years later to replace our siding. Mr. Lau is affordable, reliable, and his crew is meticulous about cleaning up after themselves. They do fast, good quality work, use good materials, and finish the job on time.
