My comic pals say the management at Giggles is terrible, and they prefer to work with the staff at the Comedy Underground. But comics still go there because there's, what, like 2 places offering stand-up comedy in town? Maybe three if you count the experimental wierdness of the Mirabou room on Wednesday nights, but that's IT!
Every time I go to giggles, the house is small. Every time I go to the comedy underground, the house is packed. That should tell you something.
But when I want comedy, I go to Jet City Improv in the same neighborhood. Always a great show.

I actually loved this place 7 years ago. The first time I went I saw Carlos Mencia and laughed all night long. Unfortunately, after this show, the owner of Giggles was so hard to work with that Carlos's manager refused to ever book here again. I went back here 3 times a year ago and swore to never come back. The owner got on stage and was rude to the whole audience. I went back a couple of months ago and have come to conclusion that this place has gone down hill. I will never go back again.
All four times in the past year or so there was only one waitress working each night and the comedians were HORRIBLE!!!!! The charge was $20.00 per person and we never laughed once. All four times the same comedians showed up for the beginning acts. My boyfriend and I could repeat their acts verbatim. My boyfriend and I left after an hour and were disgusted. The food is horrible and the drinks are way overpriced.
