It's a growing school - soon to merge with it's sister school, the Art Institute.
It's known for its psych program first and foremost, which I understand to be fairly good. Education is second, with business third. There is talk of all departments growing - which I hope will help all facets of the school develop.
Classes can be really good for your schedule or really bad - some are one night per week, so take that into consideration. The profs seem pretty flexible as the school is designed for working adults.
No big campus feel - it feels like your average business office, which can either be good or bad. I wouldn't mind a little more distinctive feel myself.

I just started classes here and it's truly an amazing experience! I love the atmosphere and the fact that the school has an awesome view of Elliott Bay. It's beautiful! If you have ever felt a creative bone in your body, DEFINITELY check this school out!

This is where I am going to get my degree. I really am glad I decided to go here because the instructors are so nice and because the schedule is so flexible. I work full time and I have been able to get my degree by going to night classes. My boss has helped a little with letting me leave early some days, but still, the school offers a lot of late night classes. The only downfall to this school is that you have to do a lot on your own. If you do not ask, they will not tell you (for instance: graduation information, financial aid, etc).

While helping a friend, I realized that it's really easy to finish your degree with on-line, distance learning classes at Seattle Community College. They are affordable - about $350 per class - so it's a great way to get the credit you need to finish your degree. Correspondence classes mean you don't even ever have to go to campus.

The Seattle Pacific University Website www.spu.edu has a classfied section. Click on childcare and you will find GREAT postings of babysitter/nannys that are available right now. You can also create a 'wanted' post with your EXACT (dates, times, children's ages, etc.) needs and you will get responses from college age sitters. I posted an ad and got many responses from great sitters as well as other parents about nanny-share opporunities. I would recommend settting up a new free (yahoo or hotmail) email account when posting an ad like this.

I forsook my junior and senior years in high school to attend Shoreline Community College and found it to be a great school. My professors were all great ( with only one exception), and the advisors were better than the ones I had at UW. The course selection is excellent for those who want to transfer to a four year school, and for those who don't there are many fine certification programs to choose from. The campus is also very pleasant and conveniently located in north seattle.

More
South Seattle Community College is a good local community college. They offer several types and variety of classes and programs, including 1 and 2 year certificates, 2 year degrees, worker retraining, and adult enrichment. They also offer running start and high school completion/GED. In addition, they have a great distance learning/online program! They offer several different classes via distance learning (computer) and most of them help fulfill an Associates Degree. These classes are perfect for stay home parents, those who work odd hours, etc. The teaching staff is wonderful and caring, the librarians are helpful and friendly, but the office staff leaves a bit to be desired in lack of proper attitude and very discourteous. I was especially disappointed in the financial aid office staff, as they were abbrasive and quite patronizing/condescending. If you can get past the office staff and their poor attitudes, it is an overall great school.
