I have been seeing Dr. Adachi for 20 years but I will not return. For some reason a test where you put your face in a machine and they print out a piece of paper costs $200! And although the cost would have been reduced if I'd had the right kind of insurance, no discount for me! 20 YEARS. The glasses also cost too much. And the "assistant" who I'm sure is not a optician, didn't even fit the glasses on me because she was so concerned with collecting the balance owed. Goodbye, Dr. Adachi! Pros: $200 for a 5 minute test?

This was my first eye exam in over 5 years and it was a positive experience. Dr. Adachi is pleasant and thorough; he didn't 'dumb it down' when I asked questions. After the exam, I selected frames. The staff suggested 5-6 varieties within the general style that I had in mind; there was no pressure to choose a higher-priced model or style. The glasses look sharp and I'm a pleased customer! Pros: Good explanations & office atmosphere Cons: Had to wait a few extra minutes in the lobby before being seen

Dr. Adachi is nice enough and very knowledgeable, but his staff is AWFUL. You will feel like a number, not a human and they will drain you dry with extra fees. I have been to quite a few optometrists, and this is the only one where I truly felt like all they cared about was getting my money. I even went back for a second annual exam, because I thought maybe my first experience was just a poor one. Again, customer service was some of the worst I have ever seen, they don't return your calls, and make no apparent effort to remember you. I will take my hard earned money elsewhere next time.

I was riding my motorcycle and an object flew right into my eye causing me serious irritation. Not only did Dr. Adachi take time out of his busy schedule to squeeze me in, he actually called me at work the next day to check on the progress on my eye. After such an incredible experience, I don't know know I could ever go to another eye doctor. I was completely blown away. These are true professionals and a beacon for the medical profession. They truly believe in helping those who need it! Thanks Doc! Pros: Everything about the visit! Cons: none
