We've bought plenty of things from The Children's Place over the year. It's not as nice as Gymboree, but the prices are really reasonable, especially when they have a promotion going. And in our experience they hold up much better than Old Navy, which I'd consider comparably priced.

I really think that the Children's Place has come a long way lately. They used to have sort of garish styles and loud, neon colors. Recently they must have acquired a new designer because they now have very cute, stylish clothing for kids that is VERY affordable. Just because my child is a child doesn't mean she must dress like a neon sign or a cartoon character. I like all their matching accessories too - from shoes to headscarves.
