I've heard about FareStart long time ago but didn't visit until Friday. Went for lunch and learned more about the concept. I love how they are helping homeless people who are aspired to become a chef, by training them and all proceeds goes to the program. The interior is just like another bistro decor, helpful services. The food is amazing! I had the Apple Brandy Ox Tail - risotto, ox tail, cream cheese etc. Yummy! It was $12.99. I thought it was very reasonably priced. Their fries were yummy! Crispy on the outside, and soft in the inside. Their salad is very fresh, whole lettuce, you cut it as you eat. Like their slogan "Where you come from isn't as important as where you are going", this place definitely gives people the hope and skills to make a difference in where people go. It's a great restaurant, you'll never know by looking at the decor, what the core business is for this place. It'll be to you just another bistro restaurant in Seattle. But the core concept makes a good restaurant great!

I don't write reviews for places, but this little chicken joint is full-time flavor - REAL DEAL. I ate at the 23rd Street location and, wow, that's some chicken. Tender, flavor from skin on in !!!
I had two spicy breasts, fries and peppers. The fries and peppers were bought from some generic food supplier - won't be ordering them again. The chicken is succulent, crispy, dripping with juice, etc. The flavor stays with you for minutes after each bite. Really, really good chicken.
I lived in Thailand for four months and ate LOTS of amazing food. I've missed the chicken wings and legs they sell on the streets. The Thai is better than Ezell's, but the spices used are very similar and the overall experience is close enough that I'm not missing real chicken. I've been lots of places and eaten lots of cuisine, so my taste buds are educated. I'm not a big fan of Oprah, who made this place famous, but I LOVE Ezell's.
Pros: Best chicken outside of Thailand
Cons: Nope

Ezell's has the best fried chicken I've ever eaten...crisp, juicy and very flavorful. Oprah would agree! Not only can you grab a chicken, fries, and biscuits for lunch, you can use Ezell's for catering too!

I can't honestly recommend any of the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in Seattle, but if I were forced to choose I wouldn't visit the lower Queene Anne restaurant. I am a fan of KFC's particular combination of greasy goodness. Sometimes. This restaurant is impossible to order in because the emplyees can't understand and are too distracted talking to each other to try. When my food arrived it was cold and I had the sinking feeling that it was yesterday's chicken.
