Simple food is usaully best. What can be simpler than teriyaki? Grilled meat with sweet sauce, rice and steamed veggies. Simple, filling and inexpensive, teriyaki is historical fast-food! Having said that, Teriyakisan is a great place. It's main draw back is that it looks run down and a little dirty. Don't be fooled. There is a high quality, low cost meal to be had inside those dingy windows. Sure, you could go to Taco Del Mar or Quizno's on either side, but you will pay more for the same or less food. The best thing is the low carb possibilities. They don't add sauce to your meat, you are in control of that. If you ask for no rice and extra veggies - you have a very low carb meal on the cheap. $6 for a jumbo portion of teriyaki makes for a very filling lunch. PROS: Great, low carb food at low prices. CONS: Looks dirty on the outside - don't be fooled!
