There are some obvious structural improvements that could be made to Bel Aire apts. The paint on the decks is completely chipped off and cracked. Same in the bathtub. The walls are extremely thin which I was made aware of when I moved in and have been made embarrassingly aware of over the past 3 years. The building managers are ghosts. I had to tell them there was a bum sleeping on the 5th floor landing about 8 months ago! So now, the doors are locked, sometimes. The rent, view and area are great. Overall a nice place to hang your hat.

I love the apartment I lived in at the Bel Air property Flatiron owns, really great location, zoned parking, cute layout for a one bedroom apartment, friendly management and attentive maintenance the two times I needed it. The only thing i had a problem with was that you can hear everything your neighbors are doing...do you want to know what shows they watch on tv, phone conversations, talking while you are trying to sleep (at 3:00am) you can hear them--pretty clearly. I had good neighbors, no overly loud people but the way the building is you practically know what is going on in all your neighbors homes.

Someone puked in the stairwell at my building almost two weekes ago and I cannot get Flatiron to cvlean it up. It's disgusting and this is the way they always treat maintenance requests.

Surpises. Like rent increases at the drop of a hat...any hat. My rent started at $790 and is up to $925 after only 18-months. Like losing all the perks that coinvinced you the move was a good idea in the first place. Like surprise rules and issues you do not learn about until you have given notice at your old place and are literally in the process of signing the rental agreement. Like having a contractor to meter your water so you pay 15% more than you would straight from the City of Seattle. Like $1.50/per load for the wash and dryer...up 50% in one year. Jennifer is very difficult to deal with. She acts like you are just being a pain in the butt if you have a complaint.

These people make renting a dream experience. I can not express how amazing they are, helpful and friendly and get things fixed very quickly. They are always there to lend a helping hand I would rent from them again in a heart beat. they work with you if you have problems or need to change moving dates like we did so many times. They never got upset and are very flexible. I highly reccomend them. And rent was fairly priced.
