We have been fans of A&J for over 20 years. We used to buy our spring lamb for Easter at Jones Bros in Ballard and were heartbroken when they burned and closed shop because my parents & grandparents used to shop there. Finding A&J was a Godsend. A&J provides the BEST lamb ever. They will bone and roll it and even save the bone for your dog if you'd like. Their stuffed pork chops are FANTASTIC, too as well as their assortment of breakfast sausages.

i knew this place was good when hubby, who hasn't eaten meat in almost 20 years, sent me there. A & J Meats is simply the best place to buy meat, whether it's a pre-marinated steak for the grill or sliced roast turkey. they don't use preservatives, the food is fresh, the people who work there know all about the meats they sell, and the prices are very fair. my only gripe with them, if you can call it that, is that they rarely have cooked corned beef. they had it once and it was the best corned beef i'd had since moving here from nyc, so that was a big tease! they have a bunch of recipes printed up and are always willing to discuss the best ways to cook certain meats. just an all-around great place.

Delicious meats, high quality and great service. I used them for the first time on Thanksgiving (getting a wonderful 22 lb turkey) and have an order in for my Christmas rib roast. Roasts are dry aged, so they're tender and tasty. Supermarket meat no more! Well worth the hassle to go up to Queen Anne. Just remember that they only take cash or check. I forgot and had to drive all over the hill trying to find a cash machine :) Pros: High quality meat, fast service, wonderful employees Cons: parking can be tight
