While I've not dealt with any other stained glass workers previously I have used these guys several times for some small projects. Located on 45th in Wallingford (across from Dicks).. All of my small project's outcome have been far from cheap but Ive never had regrets and they are nice and work quickly. They have some pretty amazing glass. Stuff that I didn't even think possible. They have a shop there that I'm pretty sure would take on just about any project you are willing to pay for. They do also teach classes there regularly.

Seattle Stained Glass is a shop and production house that makes great pieces of work. Whether you are looking for something for a new building or a small commissioned piece of work, they are a great place to start. I can't guarantee their pricing is competitive, mainly because I don't source stained glass regularly. However, several friends referred me originally and I thought my dealings with them were excellent.

These guys are amazing -- not cheap, not fast, but surely artisans in art glass and stained glass worthy of matching or exceeding the quality of mid-and early-20th century Arts & Crafts and Art Deco glass masterpieces. They built a number of custom leaded and stained glass pieces for a large home renovation project of a friend of mine here in Seattle and all of them came out amazing. If you want high quality, and given the price of getting the work done, shipping and handling to another part of the country (for the person asking in NYC) would probably only be a small amount of the total cost.
