Are you a coffee lover like me? Well then you've probably heard of Starbucks! If not, your missing out BIG TIME! That company is doing so well that there is almost one Starbucks every half mile or so. I would like to recommend 2 items. First, the Carmel Frappichino, its carmel flavored with whip cream and its a good cold drink for a hot sunny day. Second, there is the Cafe Mocha, which I prefer during the winter time when it is cold because it is a very hot drink. A tall mocha will be about $2.65 with tax, and I believe the carmel frappichino is around $3.00. Try it out!

If you are in Seattle for a visit, you must see this place. It's the original first starbucks. The decor and the logos are different from all stores. They even sell goods that are not available anywhere else. Musicians usually plays out side the store. Very crowded always, so be ready to wait for a little while for your drink.

OK, so the Queen Anne Starbucks is pretty much like any other Starbucks. The only slight difference is the scene. Lots of college students (SPU presumably) as well as young families. I've never been there when it hasn't been near or at capacity. That said, it's a pretty pleasant place to grab a cup of coffee and do some work.

Starbucks is Starbucks, but this is Starbucks in the Square. Take it or leave it.
Not everyone is open minded enough to be able to understand or handle living and/or shopping in a dense urban environment. Me, well I can't get enough. So please keep in mind that in any city, and any densely populated urban environment, in front of ANY store or establishment you are going to have homeless people, "crazy people", and panhandlers.
So if you choose to hit up the Starbucks on First and Yessler please keep that in mind and understand that Starbucks did not make them homeless and it is NOT a problem with this store.
The staff inside is attentive if not a little pre-occupied a lot of the time. They have a lot to deal with considering they have to handle orders, please customers and wrangle the homeless trying to get into the bathrooms.
Overall quality of the food and drinks is very good as it is all very typical Starbucks fare. As for the experience, it is what you make it. If you walk around downtown with an open mind, then you will never notice or care that there are homeless guys outside. I think the fact that Starbucks even is nice enough to let them have a seat every now and then is very kind. It isn't common because there are clearly marked signs that state seating is for customers only, but they do allow them sometimes.
And hey if you don't like it, there is a Tully's right across the street.

I had to seek out the U-Village Starbucks to write a review. If you can at all costs, avoid this Starbucks if you're looking to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee with a book or to even work with your laptop. As a University student, I know... people camp out at this 24-hour coffee joint, especially during finals week. Good luck ever finding a table. And if you do, you'll surely be squished between a chem major's stack of books and an history major's laptop. The service and products are great, but the area is just too small to hold both students, shoppers, and the lone coffee shop goer. Save yourself some time and seek your caffeine kick elsewhere.
If you're looking for a quick cup though to run out and drink on the way to work, the line may be long, but the baristas know what they're doing and will get your drink out pretty quick.

Out of all the greasy fast food chains I have to pledge my allegiance to Jack in the Box. Jack in the Box makes great hand whipped milkshakes that actually include milk. They also have a very diversified menu that includes some healthy choices such as salads and fruit cups. But best of all-they actually make your sandwich after you order it so it tastes somewhat fresh. If go to their website you can find a nutritional breakdown chart of their entire menu so if you are going to pig out you can do so well informed. Prices are in line with other fast food outlets and service is usually friendly.
