Siam has two locations. One on Lake Union and Broadway. I am partial to the Broadway location. I ave been going there for over 15 years and it has not changed in any way (except for the remodel around 2003)
The restaurant is small, very clean and the food is exceptional. Over the years I have varied my orders but seem to go back to what I call the classics. The "special fried rice" "swimming angel" and "green curry" are amazing. I think the special rice is the best i have had anywhere. I think its the chinese sausage and pineapple combo.
The prices are amazingly low for a city restaurant and for Seattle. $30 to feed 2 people and have food for the next day. That is a steal.
The service is great as well. It is a casual place that allows you to have a private conversation, be a little load as a group or meet someone at the sitdown counter. If you want to be quiet and by yourself, sit at the counter and be entertained by the cooks right across the counter from you.
Parking in this area of town in hard to find. You will most likely have to park 2-3 blocks away (pay if parking is the only hurdle - it worth the 5 dollars) The only benifit to the parking is the location in the city. You will find the area of down to be interesting and fun for watching people, which is always great after dinner. Safe and Easy. (there is a good dessert place 3 blocks south on Broadway - Dilettante Chocolate)
All-in-all we love the restaurant so much that when we moved to the burbs 10 years ago, we continued to visit the restaurant at least 2x a month since. It is a 25+ mile drive oneway and worth every dime (not a dime anymore with gas prices) but still worth it at any cost.
Pros: Food, Portions, Value
Cons: Parking

I got lost due to a gps malfunction and John called to see if I was ok 45 minutes after my appointment time, which was perfect because he then gave me exact directions. I got there and had only one request: to be able to be at work on time. They not only allowed me to be at work on time but also was early. They are really friendly and have a TV and lots of DVD's to choose from if you have a lot to get done. The work that was done was complete and clean. I will refer them to everyone I know.
Pros: did exactly what was promised in time for me to goto work!!!
Cons: Not a single con

Always fun to walk by and to see what they are making. If you are lucky you'll see them making the cheese curd in the viewing room. Very entertaining and also educational to see how things are made. They have samples that you can try, I like the freshness and very flavorful. The store serves sandwiches as well with their cheese, and it's always packed. But worth the line up if you want some good high quality cheese. Their cheese curd is really expensive though, a little container is close to $8. I want to cheese curd to make poutine but can't get myself to spend that money. I would recommend stop by this place grab a sandwich and read on how cheeses are made.

This is my favorite specialty store in the Market--and not just because I am Italian! Their selection is almost overwhelming. The have all sorts of Italian imports--olive oils, canned items, pastas, even cookies. They also have a refrigerated case full of take-home goodies like lasagna, ravioli, gelato and stocks. The cheese counter is a sight to behold and has more selections than anywhere else I've seen. The also have salami, bacon, sausages, olives and all the makings of a perfect antipasto platter. The fresh ricotta is heavenly. The sales staff is really friendly and knowledgeable and you will probably need them. Upstairs they keep all of their wine, and the selection is decent for a shop of their size. Again, the staff is fantastic and will steer you toward the right bottle. You really can't go wrong with anything from this store. Also, their website has tons of recipes that will help you infuse some creativity into your meals. Shops like this make cooking and entertaining fun!

I love the atmosphere, very eclectic and open. Very good staff and wonderful beer. I was shocked when the food was great too, not just the regular greasy bar food fare.
And don't go expecting the wait staff to have crisp white shirts, black aprons and lightning service. It's a place to RELAX, hang out, enjoy...

I've been in the food industry for 12 years and multiple cities; this is the stuff! All of the brunch items are stellar but the corned beef hash is my favorite. Owner run and friendly staff. The place is small so it can take some time for the 2 (wo)man kitchen to pump out the food. That is to say, bring a book or good company and don't be starving (although, you can always ask for your toast or biscuit first.) I just love this place.
Pros: Food, cozy space, good coffee
Cons: None

We have an older Colman furnace in our home that failed recently. Not knowing who to call for service, we asked a few friends of ours and got Brennans name as the company to call. I called and got same day service! Being that our furnace is older, the technician that came out did have to order a part and return. We got a phone call from Murphy the next day saying the part had arrived and they could be out later that afternoon!!!! The technician,Cary, was on time, fixed our furnace, and we had heat in time for the next round of cold weather. Overall great experience!!! Would reccomend Brennan Heating.
