Good: Fun staff, Best selection that I had seen anywhere, Prices were as low or lower than David's and MUCH nicer dresses and experience.. Improvements: Bigger! Although I liked the intimate experience and charm of the store..

I had a wedding outfit made at Cicada - they're downtown on 1st ave, just north of Pioneer Square. Jennifer, the co-owner, was the seamstress and she was great. They do beautiful and very original work. They're not cheap - my outfit was maybe $700 - but for custom, they're a very good deal.

After having my dress ruined at another bridal boutique i was desperate to find a dress in time for my wedding. I walked into Marcella's La Boutique and was greeted by the nicest consultant ever Ali! I was really nervous about only having two months to receive a dress and alter it on time. I found the perfect dress which was super rushed and arrived in 6 weeks. The alterations staff worked miracles and the entire Marcella's staff was so supportive. These gals are as classy and sweet as they come and I am so thankful to have had their help.

These guys were pretty good, near the top of the pack in the list of salons I visited. The store is laid out nicely, with double racks of dresses in a big circle around a "runway" staging area. They had a good range of prices, from a few hundred up to a few thousand; most of what I liked turned out to be in the $1400 range.
While friendly, the two saleswomen I worked with seemed to only partly know the stock and stumbled a bit when asked to bring a few more dresses that matched my request. I visited once and wrote down a style number, and when I came back with my mom a week later and asked to show her the gown, they acted somewhat put out. The original salesperson wasn't there, you see, and they'd have to go find the dress by hand, by looking at all of the labels.
My small complaints aside, La Belle Elaine's is well worth a visit. They carry a big selection of gowns. Their prices are fair. Their dressing rooms are large, well-lit and laid out like small lounges. They have a very good accessories selection. I would definitely add them to your list of stores to visit.

Isadora's is a great unique store in that all of the clothing that they sell is really in perfect condition. They call themselves Antique clothing specialists. This is a great place to find a vintage suit without holes or fading or stains. I beleive that they have a tailor to customize the suit as well. These clothes are really an investment and something that you will be proud to wear.

More
I went to a few bridal shops to try on dresses thinking that I knew what I wanted from all of the magazines I had looked at. However, once I tried on the different styles I was able to see what was perfect for my body-type and the type of wedding I was planning. THEN, I went to see Madina and she talked to me and showed me some of the dresses on her showroom floor. After narrowing down the materials and style she sketched the PERFECT dress. I had many fittings and ended up with my favorite dress ever (which it should be) because it was just what I wanted and fit me perfectly.
Madina is a straight talker and will steer you in directions you may not have thought of which can be hard for a bride who has decided what she wants from magazines. However, she is usually right. She knows what womens' bodies do in a dress and how to make the best of your strong points. She won't make you something that won't look good and I know that this has bugged some friends of mine who went in with really specific notions of what they wanted. She is an artist so she can be moody - hilarious at times and very serious at other times.
Also keep in mind that a custom made dress and veil etc. is not cheap and it SUCKS that you are only going to wear it once. HOWEVER, you (and your mom and your in-laws and your grandparents and your sister and your best friend) will all have pictures of you in that dress on their walls for DECADES to come and it is worth every penny!

Stopped into this store this weekend to pick out some toasting flutes and walked out 2 hours later as a knowledgeable consumer on top fine china, flatware, and stemware brands! This store only carries the best brands out there. These people really know what they are talking about and were extremely helpful in helping me choose the best toasting glasses and other pieces to register for. They were honest about where I could find the best prices and gave me the low down on all the brands they carry as well as which brands I would get the most use of out for what I would be paying.
The cool thing about this gallery is that you can register here for all of you china, stemware, and flatware. They also have a program where you can come back in the store after the honeymoon and they will give you the total dollar amount that was purchased for you. So you can look at all the pieces you received as gifts and can either decide to take those pieces or put the total dollar amount towards something else in the store.
I found their prices were the same as Macy's so I would recommend talking to these people and getting exactly what you want rather than being sold to by someone at Macy's who doesn't have a clue what they are selling you!
My Mom was stoked about her visit to the store too because she found pieces from her flatware that had been discontinued. They let her pick out the odds and ends that she was missing to complete her set!

I brought in a dress with a beaded bodice to be cleaned. The clerk said I'd need to sign a slip that they were not responsible for the beading. That was understandable, so she got out the slip. However, the paper said I was releasing them from ALL responsibility with regard to the garment, which I would not agree to. I'll have to try somewhere else.
