I had to buy a bridesmaid dress at this store and I hope I never have to enter it again. The service was awful and bordering on rude. Also the dress they made was too large so I had to pay for alterations and it was still too big when I got it back. I decided to stop the bleeding and get the dress altered somewhere else. When I show people the dress, they are shocked that I had to pay over $300 for it. They even lost the measurements for one of the other bridesmaids.

I bought my dress from I Do Bridal, and yes it was beautiful and very reasonable compared to other stores. The only caveat was that they do not have an alterations department. You can use the lady that comes in once a week, but it's hard to get an appointment after work for us working ladies. Also, I wasn't happy with my alterations. My dress didn't fit very well at all, and now I have picture after picture of my wedding with me pulling at my dress. A friend of mine had basically the same experience. Be careful gals, alterations are VERY important.

Pearls and Lace in Burien was recommended on the Knot by another bride so I decided to give it a try. It was actually more than it was cracked up to be. I was pleasantly surprised. All of the dresses are moderately priced but the ladies treat you like you're going to spend a couple thousand. You get individual attention, recommendations and help. They're really honest, trustworthy and friendly ladies. I'd recommend Pearls and Lace to ANYONE!

I would give this zero stars if the site allowed it. After placing an order 10 weeks before the wedding, paying 6k, hearing promises, waiting three times well past promised dates, being lied to, catching them on the lies, not knowing when the dress would arrive (and its now 3 days before my wedding), then getting yelled at and called names (!) by the owner, I went elsewhere. Only after the wedding did I hear so many other horror stories about dresses sold in the wrong size to get extra $$ for alterations, missed dates, and unbelievable behavior by the owner. Go elsewhere.

Stopped into this store this weekend to pick out some toasting flutes and walked out 2 hours later as a knowledgeable consumer on top fine china, flatware, and stemware brands! This store only carries the best brands out there. These people really know what they are talking about and were extremely helpful in helping me choose the best toasting glasses and other pieces to register for. They were honest about where I could find the best prices and gave me the low down on all the brands they carry as well as which brands I would get the most use of out for what I would be paying.
The cool thing about this gallery is that you can register here for all of you china, stemware, and flatware. They also have a program where you can come back in the store after the honeymoon and they will give you the total dollar amount that was purchased for you. So you can look at all the pieces you received as gifts and can either decide to take those pieces or put the total dollar amount towards something else in the store.
I found their prices were the same as Macy's so I would recommend talking to these people and getting exactly what you want rather than being sold to by someone at Macy's who doesn't have a clue what they are selling you!
My Mom was stoked about her visit to the store too because she found pieces from her flatware that had been discontinued. They let her pick out the odds and ends that she was missing to complete her set!

i went dress shopping here with my sister. since it was only my second time trying on dresses, i was excited to see that they had a lot of styles and shapes to choose from. it was all going really well until the saleswoman started to get really pushy on me by trying to sell me a dress off the rack. she really wanted to me buy the floor sample of the dress i liked because it was being discontinued. at first she just offered $1000 off and then when that didn't get me hooked she offered free alterations. i agree that this was a great deal, but since i hadn't tried on that many dresses i wasn't exactly ready to commit myself. the dress was very beautiful but it was obviously a well-used sample (the hem line was very dusty and dirty, the base of the zipper on the back ripped for about two inches, buttons were missing, and the waist line had many snags). this method of selling a dress just did not work for me and it has completely turned me off this store. the saleswoman was just too pushy!
i would not recommend this place unless someone has already gone to many other stores and is ready to buy a dress. and as an fyi, they only offer the discounts at your first try on visit!

I brought in a dress with a beaded bodice to be cleaned. The clerk said I'd need to sign a slip that they were not responsible for the beading. That was understandable, so she got out the slip. However, the paper said I was releasing them from ALL responsibility with regard to the garment, which I would not agree to. I'll have to try somewhere else.

This is not a place to get a coat fixed but they are Seattle's source for really high quality antique clothing and they only sell things that are in tip top shape. They would surely know the best place to get a highend coat repaired. Call em up. Also, if you have never been there, it is worth a stop next time you are at the market. They have an amazing collection.

I have never been into this store so why would I want to review it? Because even though they have an appointment only policy, Madina Vadache is the best window-shopping I've done in my entire life. Specializing in the most glamorous, elegant, chic wedding dresses in the are as well as evening wear, the Vadace is my dream come true (well, probably never come true because it's so freakin' expensive). There wedding dresses range from spectacularly odd (bedecked in feathers and ruffles) to the utmost classic designs (strapless cream gowns). If I win the lottery and Medina Vadache is still around years down the road when I get hitched, you bet my dress will be from here. I already have my top three choices picked out, just by window shopping. :-)
