I have been here a few times, always in Summer, and it has always been crowded. Tacos Bacalao (fried fish tacos) are my favorite along with their cactus nachos and Mango Margaritas. Mmmm... Nice having a salsa bar (the mango salsa is my favorite). Try to snag a spot on the deck overlooking the water.
Pros: Tacos, deck dining, salsa, margaritas, Cactus nachos
Cons: Long line, can be a wait esp. on summer weekends, HARD to find parking!

A friend took me here on a 'date' a couple weeks ago, and the roasted chicken was AMAZING. Probably the best chicken I've ever tasted. I've been having cravings for it ever since. We were seated promptly (it was pretty empty on a Tuesday evening) and it was nice to not have people crowding us. I will definitely be coming back here again, just for that chicken!
Pros: Chicken!
Cons: Difficult Parking

My husband and I had been planning to get married for about a year and then one day we decided to get married within a week...why prolong the stress of planning a wedding! We heard B & O made delicious cakes, so we called them. Who would have ever thought a place named B & O Espresso would have great wedding cakes? They met with us the next day, gave us samples to try of their different cakes and showed us a photo album of lots of cakes they had made in the past. They were so beautiful it was hard to decide but we didn't have time to labor over the details! We chose a chocolate raspberry tort cake with light periwinkle frosting, a cream colored piping design, with live periwinkle blue flowers and cream colored roses. They make the fresh raspberry sauce themselves and put it in as a filling between the layers of cake along with the whipped cream icing. OMG! It was wonderful, decadent, delicious and they delivered it to the place we were getting married and set it up, ready to be served. It was beautiful and not at all like the dry, tasteless wedding cakes people usually serve. Even our photographer who does a couple hundred weddings a year said it was the best wedding cake she had ever had. Try them, you will be pleased!
Pros: Best Wedding Cakes and other desserts
Cons: difficult parking

I've been here for breakfast a few times and it's always awesome. The Dutch Baby "Pancake" with apple is my new favorite thing ever--I'm not a huge normal pancake fan, but this was entirely different. The most thick, delicious, custardy treat I've ever had for breakfast, and topped with an outrageous espresso whipped cream! Their teas are awesome, Umbria is their wonderful coffee, their prices aren't bad, and their service has never been slow. Yay!
Pros: All the food, decent prices, good date spot, good solo spot at bar.
Cons: Teeeeeny space, so gets full fast.

I love the Blue Onion Bistro. It's right in my neighborhood and is so friendly and welcoming. Last time I went the owner was sitting at one of the tables near us, playing with army men, and one of the patrons treated us to some "Stairway to Heaven" on the guitar placed in the corner for just that purpose. There's nothing I like better than to head over there with my boyfriend and share the Sunday paper while we eat our way through enough calories for the next week - the BOB serves up giant portions of everyone's favorite comfort foods. The chicken fried steak is literally as big as my head and is absolute perfection. I can't allow myself to go there nearly as often as I'd like, because I would weigh 500 lbs! I highly recommend...in moderation, unless you have a hollow leg.
Pros: Quirky decor, friendly people, great comfort food
Cons: No magic calorie removal system

Killer diner food with added entertainment of the rambling conversations of the cook and staff. Funny drawings, too.
Went on a Tuesday morning on a day off and was so stoked to not have to wait in line. Just got seated right away and within moments a big ol plate of food plonked down. Perfect greasy/crispy hashbrowns. yes.
Pros: during the week is great--no waiting!
Cons: none

Stopped in for an Espresso and left there after having a Great Crepe to go with my coffee.. Yum! Great place to sit for a while or stop for a quick drink. There were others that were reading the paper I noticed as I waited for my drink. The staff is very friendly and quick. I had a banana and nutella crepe which was wonderful... as I just stopped by for a coffee, but I saw a crepe being served and I decided to have one too. I will for sure stop by again for more of the same...
Pros: Wonderful Espresso and quick Food!

We had a delicious lunch the day of our arrival in Seattle (Feb 11th). The Salad Nicoise was fresh & very well prepared as was my fresh cod with perfectly cooked aspargus & yellow beets. The waiter was friendly & attentive. We had the opportunity to meet Michael White, the executive chef & applauded him for his recipes. When I return to Seattle, I will definitely return to Brasserie Margaux.
