There are a lot of GREAT bike shops in Seattle, as this as a GREAT bike town. But my husband - who is a bike commuter, and builds some of his own bikes - always turns to Ti Cycles in the U District when he needs precision repairs or guidance on something he's building.
That said, other great shops are Montlake Cycle, Recycled Cycles, the little bike shop in Leschi.

The crew at Ti Cycles is top notch. The guys have been wrenching for years and aren't there just for the summer like many of the large bike shops in Seattle. The are very good to talk with when building a new bike and have a good idea what will work to get you dream ride working perfect.
They have a good and well thought out selection of parts, accesories and clothing. Nect time you're on the BG near U Village stop in a check them out.

While Ti Cycles is small and has a hard time competing with the selection of big bike shops, their repair/service has been good every time Ive gone. Several times I have taken my bike there with random problems like creaking noises I cant figure out, and have not been let down yet. On more than one occasion they have fixed minor problems at no charge! I have had wheels trued there as well and they turned out very good.

Stop in and say, "Hi," to Fabian, Bryan, Pete, Greg, & Karlee. The best bike shop crew in Seattle. Fabian, the large Frenchman, will help you find anything from fenders to water bottle cages to crazy cell phone cases. Expect to be treated like an old friend and greeted with a smile you are in. The mechanics are perfectionists, slightly quirky, but if you feed them Zoka's from down the street, they tend to mellow out and perform miracles on bikes.
