The Richmond Beach Coffee Company is a warm inviting coffee shop. The food and coffee is amazing and I've tried both hot and cold items from their selection. Much more laid back than your typical starbucks, there are always tables or chairs to use and sitting outside on a nice day is perfect. The servers are great and there is even a drive through. Definitely recommend if you're going to sit and enjoy your coffee with a friend rather than rushing off somewhere.

Remember the scene where WInston Wolf (Pulp Fiction) looks over at Tarantino and raises his mug in adoration of that cuppa joe? That was Caffe Vita in the cup. This bean juice has got to be one of the smoothest, creamiest pulls off a La Marzocco machine I've ever had. If you're staying downtown, make the mile jaunt north past the Space Needle to have a grande latte.

Shinka on the Ave is the best tea place in Seattle. It has the normal bubble tea stuff as well as real teas mixed with it. This place is especially nice in the summer when it gets hot because of their iced and slushy drinks. They are also open late for late night studying. The only problem with this place is that there is not parking except on the streets.

Oh my GOD, the smoked jalepeno cream cheese is AMAZING. Order it spread on a toasted bagel and you will not be sorry. Perfectly savory, smoky, and creamy all at once paired with the chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside bagels... it's heaven with a hole in the middle. The bagels are a tad on the pricey side, but worth every penny. Yum yum.

Oh, Java Love... Let me count the ways I love you...
1. Fabulous margaritas! Big and tasty!
2. Tacos de Papa - Potato tacos, who'd a thunk it!
3. Chile rellenos - in a homemade pastry shell, filled with cotija & manchego cheeses. My favorite dish - hands down!
4. Adorable outdoor eating area
5. Excellent service. Attentive, honest, and funny.
6. Rustic atmosphere
7. Supports local artists by featuring their works on the walls
8. Oh ! And breakfast too! My heart be still!
This place is especially great when the owner is working. He's super-attentive, sweet, and easy on the eyes. Alas - he's spoken for!

This is a nice little espresso place on NE 65th St. just East of I-5. A bit bigger than the typical drive-through espresso shack, you can either pull up to the drive-through window or walk inside. Some baked good also available. Open in the evenings also.

More
When walking into Perkatory it feels like the place used to be a medium sized flat. Somewhere along the line a small cafe decided to take up residence in the living room. The couch and, of course, coffee table still remain in one room, a piano and larger table in the next, and a few small tables and chairs along the walls. Even the curtains still remain.
All this gives Perkatory a nice feel. The cafe does not try to be overly trendy with its decor. Plus the music is kept low so it's easy to carry on a conversation. You don't have to talk above the sound of some supposedly latest and greatest indie band. The coffee is good and the staff friendly. Try it out when you're looking for something other then the normal Seattle coffee shop, or for a nice place to simply enjoy some coffee and do some reading.

Another business I patronize due to proximity, and because it isn't Starbucks. The drinks are far better than any chain coffeehouse, and they give you a free chocolate covered espresso bean with every order. My only beef is that it closes far too early for a seattle place, otherwise I'd give it five stars.
