Yunnie is the best bubYunnie is the best bubble tea cafe on the Ave. An impressive a-la-carte style menu allows you to craft your own, personal, bubble tea concoction. First of all, pick the style of beverage: milk tea, slushy, milk shake, or hot tea. Then, select your favorite among a wide variety of flavors, which can be enjoyed individually or combined with other flavors. Finally, add boba (the plump, delicious, tapioca “bubbles”). Grab a colorful straw, and enjoy! ble tea cafe on the Ave.

I go here everyday and this is my favorite coffee house. All the Uptown's are very good, but the original is my favorite. Not only is the coffee good, the pastries are good and the service is exceptional!

A friend told me about this tea shop (I didn't know there were tea shops...dumb me)...and later we went here several times to study. The staff is so nice and helpful...they have really good tea and desserts are awesome. The vibe here is so relaxed and nice. It's a really good place to study or hang out with friends over some tea. A very good place to go.
Pros: Great tea, huge variety to choose from, good desserts

I just went here with a friend on Tuesday night. It was excellent! We shared a pot of "World Peace" (herbal tea) and I'm craving a cup right now (hence why decide to write this post now). I can't wait to get back and try some of their other teas. I thought it was clever that they provide a timer so you can make sure the tea seeps for the appropriate amount of time.

Shinka on the Ave is the best tea place in Seattle. It has the normal bubble tea stuff as well as real teas mixed with it. This place is especially nice in the summer when it gets hot because of their iced and slushy drinks. They are also open late for late night studying. The only problem with this place is that there is not parking except on the streets.

The Richmond Beach Coffee Company is a warm inviting coffee shop. The food and coffee is amazing and I've tried both hot and cold items from their selection. Much more laid back than your typical starbucks, there are always tables or chairs to use and sitting outside on a nice day is perfect. The servers are great and there is even a drive through. Definitely recommend if you're going to sit and enjoy your coffee with a friend rather than rushing off somewhere.

As a former employee of Queen Marys I definitely agree that it is crowded and small. we would have to "make room" on weekends when we would be overbooked. Reservations are nice ,but Mary will always find a space for the
"walk ins", even if she has to push a reservation back a half an hour. ALL the cakes are fabulous and the creme brulee is to die for. The scones are the best in town, but come early for those,Bev,Mary's mom only makes about 6 a day, and when there gone, there gone. The tea selection in one of the best, and the food is great.I love the soups, and still long for them. However everyone should go for the high tea, and remember to ask for a tiara

When walking into Perkatory it feels like the place used to be a medium sized flat. Somewhere along the line a small cafe decided to take up residence in the living room. The couch and, of course, coffee table still remain in one room, a piano and larger table in the next, and a few small tables and chairs along the walls. Even the curtains still remain.
All this gives Perkatory a nice feel. The cafe does not try to be overly trendy with its decor. Plus the music is kept low so it's easy to carry on a conversation. You don't have to talk above the sound of some supposedly latest and greatest indie band. The coffee is good and the staff friendly. Try it out when you're looking for something other then the normal Seattle coffee shop, or for a nice place to simply enjoy some coffee and do some reading.

This place is for the people who are serious about their tea. They have a wide selection of loose tea from around the world, as well as a section of tea gadgets and accoutrements. It's in a series of quaint shops in Pike Place Market that I like to hit when playing tour guide for friends from out of town. They have a bunch of specialty teas that can be a real treat, but also really expensive for your average cup of tea. For this reason I think it serves as a great stop for gift shopping (assuming you're buying for someone who likes tea).
