It's usually quiet in here when I come in for a beer and coffee with friends. Not sure why, although I hear it gets full for the live music at night. Coffee's good, so is the chai, and in my opinion, the beer selection here can't be rivaled by most bars in the area. Mr. Spot's has wine too, but I'm going to talk about the beer. They've got six, that's right SIX local beers on tap, and over 10 kinds in bottles. The baristas are always really nice too. And there's a reasonably priced (2.50 and up) menu if you need some sustenance. If you like to go out for beers and actually talk to the people you're with, you should check out Mr. Spot's.

They http://www.chaihouse.com/ have a small stage, and lots of musicians performing, some are good and some awful. I used to come for the (free) wireless internet access, on mornings when I wasn't very picky about my coffee; it is their chai that is their draw... It's definitely hippie friendly, and a cozy place to have a large glass of chai, the chai that they sell in gallon jars to locations throughout the area.

It doesn't keep me from a Coco Chai-nel or a Ruby Tuesday but I tend to take the drink and run.
I also try to go when there isn't music playing...it's rare that I've found it any good, but hey, I'm the outsider...
Morning Glory Chai is really great and the flavored chais are super delicious. I'm so glad this place is doing well in a coffee dominated city (and neighborhood). And I'm also very thankful that they carry Mighty-O Donuts.

Nice little space, and Morning Glory Chai is really the best you can get. Everything else just tastes like warm milk.

Mr Spot's Chai House is good because of the chai they serve which is really tasty, and they also have good live music sometimes, usually in the evenings. They serve a couple different kinds of chai, plus espresso, and even beer on tap. It's a nice place to come get a hot drink.
