I have had short hair since I was 12. I am now 40. I usually go to the best salons and best hairstylists, but I was never overwhelmingly happy with my hair. You know how it is. It is never quite perfect. I had my haircut with Glenn for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and it is honestly the best haircut I ever had. It is absolutely perfect. It looks darling, and every hair is just as long as it needs to be. He also gave me good product recommendations, again for the first time ever. Usually I end up finding something for myself that I like. Glenn is AWESOME. Go see him immediately! :-) Pros: Glenn is an extremely talented stylist Cons: None

I have been to The Guilt Edge Society for hair extensions, color, and cut and had an amazing experience each time. I have never had trouble making an appointment around my busy schedule. Everyone who works at the Guilt Edge is extremely friendly. The vibe of the salon is professional yet fun and spunky. It is by no means pretentious. They have extremely resonable prices and I recommend anyone and everyone to make an appointement with one of the lovely hair stylists at Guilt Edge!

I had been underwhelmed by my hair for a long time - boring, dull, dry. Each time I styled it I would become even more exasperated by the mediocrity. It was time for a change. Luckily for me I found The Gilt Edge Society and decided to give it a try. Glen cut and colored my hair. The entire experience was phenomenal. Firstly ,after looking at my hair he gave me the option of 2 or 3 different colors and styles which would work for my face shape and hair type. He then took the time to explain how to style my hair properly and showed me products which would help me acheive this (without ever appearing saleman-like) - who does that? It's been three weeks, the cut just keeps getting better and the color is gorgeous. Highly recommended. Thanks Glen!

After a complete disaster at another salon in Seattle I was very hesitant to get my hair cut and colored again. After being long overdue I called and got an appointment with Holly. We went over the exact color I wanted and we figured out a color that would work. She spent 3+ hours working on my cut and color and gave me exactly what I wanted, with a little touch of her own style and it is perfect!! This is one of my favorite cuts/colors ever. Very rarely do I ever recommend hair salons, but I would recommend Holly and the Gilt Edge Society to anyone looking to get their hair done. Not only are they great, but their prices are very reasonable. Thanks Holly!!! Pros: Great cut and color, reasonable prices, friendly staff

I am new to Seattle and I avoided getting my hair done for a few months, mostly because I am very picky and usually disappointed when I get my hair done away from my hometown hairdresser back in Boston. But after being recommended to The Gilt Edge Society, I thought I would give it a chance. I called and they made me an appointment with Holly and I couldn't have been more pleased. I went in there not knowing exactly how I wanted it done, and I left knowing it was perfect. I have dirty blonde hair and usually get it highlighted and cut, but this time I wanted to go a bit more natural. So Holly recommended doing high- and low-lights and they look great - as if they grew right out of my head! Holly might be young, but she works like she has been styling hair forever. And she even stayed late to fit me in her schedule that night because I had to work until 5pm. Ask her for advice too - she knows all the best products and techniques. I may have been there for a long time (highlighting, wash and cut took 2 1/2 hours - which is normal) but it went by very quickly because of the good conversation with Holly and interesting atmosphere of the Gilt Edge Society. I will definately return next time! I almost wish my hair would grow faster... ~ "Charlotte" Pros: Great cut and highlight! Cons: Had to pay for parking

I've been going to Holly at The Gilt Edge for a few months now. Each time she has done an amazing job - exactly what I wanted. She really listened to what I wanted. She just did my color and it is perfect. I had BRIGHT red added to my dark hair and they're vibrant. The prices are very fair. Everyone there is very hospitable and there is a great artsy atmosphere. I can usually book an appointment within the same week. Pros: Plenty of parking on surrounding streets, great skilled staff, good prices Cons: None.
