Yuck. I got a free coupon for a mani/pedi when I serviced my car at Phil Smart, so I decided "why not" use it and pamper myself a bit. The girl who did it seemed inexperienced and awkward, was wearing an outfit that kept slipping down and exposing way more of her than I wished to see, and the end result looks like something I could have done at home. In 8th grade. I'm sure they may be good at other things, but definitely NOT manicures/pedicures. Save your money and do it at home, it'll turn out way better. Pros: Friendly, nicely designed Cons: Horrible manicures, pedicures

The salon is so deceivingly spacious! I it's very hip and comfortable. I loved everyone that works there. I had my hair done by a very talented stylist named Robert. He was great ! I never expect a new stylist to get it "right" the first time they do my hair, but he was wonderful!! He refereed me to their new Esthetician who was so knowledgeable and warm. I had my brows done by her. I didn't know my brows could look great! It was the first time I've ever had anyone do such a great job!!!

I went to Bowie to get a retouch on my color. I have a lot of gray and was apprehensive about the color matching. My colorist, Kassy, blended the color perfectly and made it look absolutely gorgeous. This is the longest my gray has ever stayed covered. The salon itself is welcoming and beautiful. Kassy has since moved on to Imena Salon in West Seattle! Pros: beautiful space

Buon giorno! Just wanted to give ?all y?all? feedback on the product I bought yesterday: Furterer?s Tonucia (?toning and densifying mask for fine and limp hair?) ...it?s fabulous! Really gave body to my hair without weight. Easy to put in a nice thick French roll with no backcombing! Would highly recommend it. This is a reasonably upscale salon, but it lacks the condescension or pressure to purchase additional products that sometimes fancier places can have. Unfortunately my haircut was disappointing. The stylist was attentive and listened to what I said, and started out great, but once we reached the goal, she kept cutting! My recommendation would be to pay attention, watch what is happening, and speak up before things take a turn for the worse.

DON'T DO IT!!!! I did, and believe me....if you want to feel like a fool, then you'll get what you are looking for. First of all, I only went there the first time because I was refered to a new stylist by my old stylist who was moving to San Fran. I tried out the new stylist, at Bowie, who was amazing, but alas, she left the salon for good. She kindly referred me to another stylist, at Bowie, who was also wonderful. So, you ask, what is so bad about that? Well, after now getting attached to two great stylists, I too, came in for an appointment one day to find I had been moved to a different stylist!!!! No phone call, no warning, no email, no appology!! NO EXPLANATION! When I came in, I waited for what seemed like an eternity before I was brought to a station and noone would tell me what happened to my stylist. They acted like I was required to sit and just blindly accept my fate. I was very insulted and intimidated, and left feeling very frusterated. AND my hair sucked. When I walked to my car, my past 9 months of Bowie Salon experience flashed before my eyes, and I realized that I never really enjoyed or liked the salon. The space is in a bad location, that seems shady at best in the evening, parking is horrible, the reception staff always seemed stressed or irritated, and the other stylists are cold and snobby. I realized then that the ONLY reason why I came back was because of my stylists, and if they left, there must be good reason. Really, there are so many very good salons in town and a couple great ones already, don't waste your money or time with this "salon". It is just not worth it.......and if anyone finds my old stylists.....let me know! Pros: none Cons: no parking, bad location, shallow business demeanor, cold atmosphere, Ikea chic.

I was very upset when i walked into the salon for my appointment with my stylist of 3 years and had found that the salon decided to put me with another stylist. without any warning i was just tossed into the hands of a stylist that didnt listen to a word i said and gave me the haircut and color that he wanted not that i wanted. I was so upset and couldnt believe that they didnt give me an option to cancel but instead made me feel very uncomfortable as though i had no choice. I was just told that they didnt know where Amber had gone? She just wasnt hear anymore. How do you not know where someone went? I could tell that they were not being very honest, i have been to many hair salons in my time and i know how it goes. i just wanted to let this establishment know that i have found my stylist, just a block away at a barbershop. i have since seen her and i think that the way this establishment treated me was very poor and very unprofessional. I am glad i will no longer have to visit this salon.
