Nancy is extremely talented! I went in with the same haircut I've had for a few years now and wanted something totally different. She obliged and I ended up with an amazing haircut that made me look edgy! I love it. The products are all natural and they smell wonderful. Not like a chemical salon smell. I was looking for and organic salon after having my dark hair brutally bleached by another organic salon. I was at a local restaurant and saw a card for Shampoo Bar. From the moment I walked into Nancy's salon, almost 3 three years ago, I knew I had found a great salon. I was warmly welcomed and pampered and then was given a great haircut and beautiful foil. I walked out of there looking beautiful again as I do after every appointment. Nancy always gives me a beautiful cut and color that allows me to shine. Nancy is talented and skilled with color and keeps up with current trends. I enjoy arriving early for my appointments to see her wonderful work on others. She has an artistic eye and is very intuitive about exactly the right color and cut specifically tailored to the client. Her products are top of the line and non toxic. Check her out.. You will be glad you did. Pros: Relaxing, non toxic, professional and fun!!

Nancy is one of the greatest hair stylist that I have gone to whenever I needed a hair cut or color. The products that she uses are all organic and the hair cuts are very trendy and up to date. I've been to her salon when I wanted a layered cut for my long hair. Recently I wanted a shorter cut and she did a superb job in getting me the hair cut that I wanted. Nancy does not rush with the cuts. You feel relaxed and you know that you are in good hands when you are there. This hair salon is not for those who want a quick run to the salon. Nancy really takes her time because she wants the cut and color to be exactly what you have in mind and/or what looks best on you. Overall Shampoo Bar is a great salon. The atmosphere is very friendly and warm. Pros: The best organic hair salon in town Cons: None

There is nothing I can say that can explain my experience at Nancy's salon. It was a few hours before my 21st birthday dinner and I was in dire need of a haircut. Nancy was sweet enough to squeeze me in after a color and cut she had. She deep conditioned my hair since I had to wait for my haircut. She was so friendly and the products she uses are amazing. My hair turned out so good.. it felt so much lighter and softer. Later on that night all my friends said I looked like a rockstar.. and it was all thanks to Nancy. I will definitely return again for another cut and next time a color. I am glad to have found such an amazing hairdresser so close to home! Pros: Great service, lovely salon, relaxing atmosphere Cons: Small parking lot

I have had my hair cut and coloured 2x with Nancy at Shampoo Bar, I picked it from reading reviews here on citysearch, it was very appealing that her products are organic and non toxic. I love her!! I love the salon, it's kind of tiki mix with parisian french wall art, very comfortable to hang out in with great selection of reading material while the hair is cooking. I have found that when you go to large establishments you feel like a number on a conveyor belt, not here, she takes her time, adds colours if she thinks that something is missing, you feel like your really being taken care of and I have complete trust in her work, it is as social as you want to be, sometimes you go to salons and it's exhausting since you have to have a whole long conversation with everyone who comes within 3 feet of your hair,not here, you get to chat as much or as little as you want. She is receptive to hearing what you want for your hair and making it work for you, not cookie cutter in the least From someone who has traveled all over the country (literally from canada to south carolina to alaska and many many places in between for my job and stay there for longish periods of time) I have to say I have found no better place to get your hair cut if you are looking for the personal experience. It should also be noted that there are an assortment of products for sale but no pressure to purchase anything, I have previously been to Gary Manual here in Seattle and found that the products were shoved down my throat as if they were not already making enough money on me in the first place, Nancy tells you about what is being used on you and the discussion is over unless you ask questions, (since i know you read the reviews, thanks so much for the shampoo that i did buy this time, it worked great!!) Pros: hours, cost, parking, attention to detail Cons: nothing

For starters.... Very cute and intimate salon with lots of organic products for purchase. The important stuff... Nancy is super down to earth and truly good at what she does. She picked the absolute best shades for my hair. She used a coloring technique I have never seen before and it turned out fabulous. This is coming from a girl who has been getting her hair done for YEARS. This is my biggest splurge financially. So when I get it done.. it means a lot for it to turn out well. I will return to the Shampoo bar next time I get my hair done.

Nancy is a GODDESS! She completely fixed a bad haircut (from another salon) without sacrificing a lot of length and gave me the perfect cut. Her salon is relaxing and luxurious, yet surprisingly affordable, especially considering Nancy's considerable attention to detail. I'm sure it'll be at least 6 weeks before I need another cut, but I can't wait to get back! Go to Shampoo Bar and let Nancy spoil you... Enjoy!

This is the best hair color I have ever had. I have been told that "your hair has never looked better" and "it looks so healthy" and "your cut is amazing" and I had my hair done a month and a half ago and the color is still covering up my gray. :-) THANK YOU NANCY. YOU ARE A HAIR GODDESS! The shampoo you sold me is amazing...Sodium Lauryl Sulfate free and very effective. My hair still looks so good! I can't wait to come see you again, but the color is doing such a good job, it might be the end of July before I do! You're amazing!!!!! Thanks! (I have had my hair colored regularly for the last two years. I started to notice that I would get a headache that lasted about 3 days...figured it was the ammonia/chemicals. I found Nancy at the Shampoo Bar, she made an appointment with me over email....and I had ZERO headache and there were literally no chemical smells or burning or anything. Very educational, very healthy!!!) Pros: amazing, organic hair color Cons: i live in the 253, and gas is expensive, but i'll still drive to north seattle for nancy!
