I always feel happy when I go to Salon Zaffa! I highly recommend either stylist. You'll be happy with the results. And they are moderately priced to boot!

My old hairdresser passed on to heaven and I followed his extern Shana to Salon Zaffa. I am so glad I did!! What a relaxed and happy place. Shana immediately improved my hair color to what I had been hoping for all along!! Then she started cutting my hair just a little differently from what I had done for years, and you know? It looked a lot better!! The entire staff is warm and friendly and from what I have seen, very talented. I love the place and the people!!

I have always dreaded getting my hair cut because it is on the thick side and often hairdressers just don't know what to do with it. Salon Zaffa was recommended to me by a friend and after my first visit I was completely sold. The friendly, low-key atmosphere makes for a pleasant experience and Nicola and Shana manage to always give me a wonderful haircut. I would recommend either of these ladies to anyone. Prices are very reasonable, as well. I love this place!!

I love the Essential Baking Company, and my frequent trips there took me by the old location of Salon Zaffa. One one sandwich run, I saw a flyer advertising a special deal at the Salon, and decided I would try it out. I haven't had any beautifying services anywhere else. I've actually moved away from Seattle, and am hoping that I can put up with my growing-out hair until I get back there for a visit and a haircut from the talented Nicola. I've been sending all my friends there ever since my first cut -- and facial. And I just got a voicemail message from one friend who thanked me for recommending the salon, because she got the best haircut she's ever had. It's a friendly place, and you will enjoy your time there, as well as your cut/color/whatever.

I'm someone who was never happy with professional haircuts so I'd bounce around from place to place, sometimes even taking scissors to my hair on my own. Then I started to notice that all my girlfriends seemed to have the best hair and it turned out they all went to Salon Zaffa. I've seen Nicola and Shana and each time I walk out with a hair cut that I love and that grows out well. I completely trust them so even if I don't know exactly what I want, I am comfortable letting them make decisions. I always get compliments on my hair and so my circle of friends who go there continues to grow. They are great people too so it's always a really fun way to spend an hour of my time!

"Fabulous" pretty much sums up my experience at Salon Zaffa. Nicola works wonders with my unruly, curly hair. Michelle is a color goddess. She worked with the natural texture of my hair to create multi-layered reds that were bright and funky without being brash or overdone. Allyson shapes a mean eyebrow, and offers a range of other skin treatments. I am SO saving up for a facial!

Growing up with curly hair in the 80's, I came to dread getting my hair cut. Each time I went, my hair stood up even higher than the last time - not quite the look I was going for. That will never, ever happen at Salon Zaffa. Michelle knows what I want even better than I do, and she won't give me a haircut that looks bad on me. I don't have to be a fashion expert or have any clever ideas for how I want my hair. I can just show up, have some tea, and leave feeling relaxed with a beautiful haircut and cool highlights. Now getting my hair cut is a treat instead of a terror. Salon Zaffa made all the difference.

I've been getting my hair cut at Salon Zaffa for about 5 years now. I have wavy hair that I like to keep very short and tidy -- not an easy haircut. I not only look good when I leave SZ, my cut keeps looking good as it grows out. (They also do fabulous longer cuts, color, etc. on my more adventurous friends.) Zaffa's also fun to go to -- there's always interesting art on the walls and good music playing, and frequently a cute, friendly dog or two in residence. Definitely not the stuffy atmosphere of the pricey downtown salons, yet it's very professional and clean. Another great feature is that it's right across the street from the Essential Bakery. The only downside is that my favorite stylist there is so popular I have to plan ahead and make an appointment long before my hair gets to the "I can't take it anymore!" stage.
