Seven salon in downtown Seattle is an upscale salon with down to earth attitude. However, the music is LOUD -- loud enough so that you have to strain to hear your stylist. The waiting area is in the center of the salon and not entirely comfortable. Despite all that, I have a found a great young stylist named Quinn. He is easy going, not chatty chatty or bitchy, professional in his demeanor and quite skilled in handling "hard-to-handle" hair. He gives great cuts that are easy to work with and maintain and has an eye for what suits you, as his client. I look forward to my salon visits now in anticipation of what he will do. HIs rate is reasonable and he is worth every penny.

So I decided to try out Seven in Bellevue this weekend b/c i was ready for a change. I read the reviews and decided on Arpad due to his past glowing ratings. He did not disappoint but quite the opposite. I came in with my hair very long and blondish brown. First impression, the salon is cute and service was good but nothing much different than Gene Juarez- just a little edgier. Arpad was charming, straight-up and most importantly, extremely talented. By the time i left the salon i didnt recognize myself, but in a fantastic way. My hair is very different -but as promised, it brings out my eyes and matches my skin tone beautifully (which Seven is known for). Some people may come for the atmosphere which is fine. Nice to get coffee and chocolate, but i care MORE about the results and Arpad does deliver. He cut off around 6 inches of my hair with layers framing my face and died it this gorgeous dark chestnut brown. I admit, i was a little freaked out. I am also SUPER picky about my haircut and color and the fact that he actually gave me something different that i love is pretty remarkable. I never write reviews but he is worth the glowing praise. Go see him and give him a little free reign and he will impress you! He is worth the risk. It was my first time in the salon so i cant speak for other stylists. The only con was the product pushing on the way out the door. My mom and I were walking by 7 two years ago when she decided to check out the salon. As soon as we walked in everyone was smiling and seeing how they could help us. I had a hairstyle that was growing out and it was fried because of all the abuse it had endured. I told them I wanted a guy hairstylist that had a vision for my hair. They introduced me to Tony and from hello he knew how he wanted to see my hair. My mom was introduced to Lorenzo who immediately had her go to his chair so he could explain what needed to be done. We made our appointments and were off. As soon as we left we knew that 7 was the right salon for us. Two years later we still feel the same way. We look forward to getting our hair done and be treated so well. We have been spoiled by the staff of 7 and do not think that another salon can compare. I have seen many of the stylist's work and have never been less then impressed. However Tony is the best stylist for me and Lorenzo is the best stylist for my mom. It was almost as if someone knew which stylist to put us with. I can't wait for my next appointment in a couple of weeks. Pros: Looking good and feeling good Cons: You have to keep going because no other salon will compare

(I had a very very bad experience with seven.) I had my hair cut with Michael ( he was very nice ) but my color was done by Amy and she was awful ! myhair is brown and she gave me orangish highlights....., so now im thinking maybe if Michael does the color too, then it might turn out nice! help me ....does anyone know if Michael is good in hair color?

Before yesterday I had never been to this salon before. But of course I had heard a lot about it. I was so sick of my blah hair. I have had it done by so many different people who do not seem to understand what I want, and I always seem to get mediocre results. I knew Seven was more expensive than what I was used to paying but I decided to go out on a ledge and try it anyways. I saw Henley at the Bellevue location for a cut and color and I have to say my expectations were met and exceeded! From the moment I walked into the salon I was treated like a special guest. They served me an americano, which was fabulous, and gave me some chocolate. Yum. Henley my stylist, payed very careful attention to what I liked and disliked about my current hair and immediately had great ideas about what we could do. I was so impressed with how much detail she went into when cutting my hair. The style I wanted has lots of layers and can look really bad if not done correctly, but Henley cut my hair with amazing precision. It wasn't rushed like most of the other places I have been to. She cut my hair from every angle, sitting and standing. I felt confident she wasn't going to miss anything, and she didn't. By far the BEST hair cut and color I have EVER received. When I went to check out I was surprised to find that the cost was about half what I had anticipated paying. The prices are actually quite reasonable for the service you receive. I HIGHLY recommend this salon and Henley in particular. Pros: great coffee, very skilled stylists, they have a d.j! Cons: the music is fun but can be a little loud

I had a student approach me on the street for a basic trim, and I was ecstatic. It was a little nervewrecking at first because several students and a teacher was analyzing my every facial feature, hair type and skin tone. In the end, Patrice did an excellent job, and was very nice to talk to. It gave me much more knowledge about how I view people and their facial features. Now, I even part my hair on the opposite direction and it makes a huge difference. Great Hair 101 for me.

I recently got my hair colored at Seven. I have been getting my hair colored for 16 years all over the States and this is the worse color I've ever had! It is so bad that I even called to ask them to fix it (to no avail) which I've never done before. I had been to this salon a few times several years ago with satisfactory results; however, it was definitely overpriced. I don't know what made me go back, but I will never go back again!

I was so excited to have my hair done at Seven in Seattle. The attraction, for me, was that they cut your hair to fit your face/bone structure. Sounded great. My stylist was new to Seven. I did not enjoy my experience there. First I was kept waiting for over 30 minutes. Received two complimentary bottles of water and two chocolates and two apologies during my long wait. The stylist did not communicate well. She did not explain much at all. I decided to trust her skills and see what a "haircut designed to go with my face shape" would look like. She did the cut and turned me over to an apprentice while my hair was still wet. The apprentice was far more charming & communicative. She styled my hair. It took about 20 minutes, several potions, blow dryer, round brushes, etc. to get to the finale. So I'm thinking to myself; like I have a professional stylist at home to do this for me every day? The haircut required straight hair. I do not have straight hair. I walked out of Seven unhappy, knowing I could never replicate this hairdo. Today I received a call from Seven saying the stylist no longer works there. Yay. Maybe I'll give them a second chance!

I went to 7 after reading the reviews about Arpad. It's true what they say about the salon and Arpad, its hip and beautifull!! Arpad is not so bad either! he gave me a consultation about my skin tone and what would look good cut wise for my face shape, let me tell you it is the best cut and color I have ever had. I get compliments daily where as before I saw Arpad; really not that much. We had a great time and he is funny and charming and makes you feel beautifull! Go see Arpad at 7, you wont regret it. Pros: Good music great stylist freindly staff Cons: NONE
