I LOVED this place. I came in after seeing a coworker's amazing cut & color, and I chose Cher after reading the City Search reviews. She definitely didn't disappoint! I told her she could dye my hair whatever color she wanted, and she was excited about that and thought that coppery red would complement my skin tone best, so we went for it. I haven't been a red head in a long time and was worried that it was going to be kind of unnatural and drastic, but she was completely right, and it came out looking incredible. She was also extremely friendly and made you feel like you were gorgeous both before and after she did your hair. That's something not many hair dressers tend to do. Since red is a complex color and I had previously dyed hair which is always tricky, she spent extra time perfecting the tone and had an assistant wash out a toner. The assistant (I'm so bad with names, I'm sorry) was also super nice and complimentary, too, and she also made me feel great about what Cher had done. The same goes for the woman who rang up my purchases, for that matter! Everyone was so sweet and fun to talk to, I can't imagine going to another salon now. I love my hair and the place itself was really great to hang out in with fancy magazines and lattes and chocolate and DJ music. Pros: Cher, friendly and attentive staff Cons: Nothing

I was looking for a color change and a new salon, so after reading the reviews here on Seven Salon, I decided to see Beth at the Seattle salon. What a wonderful experience! Her enthusiasm, friendliness and professionalism made it fun and she chose a shade of blonde that matched my skin tone perfectly. She really knows her stuff. The staff definitely has a team spirit, from the the woman who offered me a gown and a fancy chocolate at the start of my appointment to the checkout staff when I was done. I will definitely be back. Kudos to the managment at Seven for creating such a professional, customer-oriented team of people. Beth was right--I DO turn heads now when I walk down the street... Pros: definitely customer-focused, team approach, friendly Cons: none

I am very proud to be a long standing client at Seven. I make the drive from Gig Harbor because the results are worth it. For 6 years Tony has cut, colored and styled my hair fantastically. This has been the best 6 years of my hair life. I get compliments from strangers and people in the sewing and fashion business about the cut and color of my hair. I often teach or lecture to groups of 10-200 people and no longer fuss or waste time thinking about how my hair should look or change. I know that Tony has made those decisions for me with incredible skill. He has cut my hair to highlight my bone structure and colored my hair to enhance my skintone. People often think I am younger than my actual age. He is professional yet warm and funny, and very proud to work for a salon that is on the cutting edge. Seven is driven to keep the best stylists and provide in-house training utilizing the best intructors in the business. Rodger, the owner, has developed his own Seven line of hair products that smell and work wonderfully. I plan to continue to encourage friends to try Seven, get a free consultation and the best "do" of your life. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Too far from my hometown

This was a great trip to a salon, not only because of the salon itself, but because of everything else downtown. So, I live in the 'burbs and I thought I would splurge and go to swanky "Seven" and ended up having the best overall experience I've ever had on a visit to Seattle. Whether you live in Seattle or just sort of close by, you can do so much in this area. In Pacific Place, there is a Victoria's Secret, a movie theatre and a Nordstrom...well, everything. And "Seven" is beautiful with attentive stylists and staff. I got the most natural looking foil/color and the most flattering haircut. It seemed effortless, but everyone I have ever seen has struggled immensely. My only regret is I can NOT remember her name. It wouldn't help to say she's stylish and pretty, cause they ALL are. I lost her card, but I will FIND OUT!!!! I then went to all the nearby shops and all and I got COMPLEMENTS!!!! Book at Seven and then walk around and get whistles!!! Pros: Just wonderful! Cons: CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME!!!! (my own fault; I'm horrible @ names)

I stumbled in for the simplest thing in the world: a "FRINGE" TRIM! That's right; I have yet to get my hair cut at this salon. I will be sure to follow up when I have gotten the whole experience. But, I was so impressed that I had to write immediately. Even if you do not end up getting a cut, everyone should be impressed with the beautiful space, the wonderful customer service AND, above all, the amazing talent that comes from the stylists there. I came in for a fringe trim, and I left with the new knowledge that I have a rectangular face shape (finally an answer to that pesky question that is virtually unanswerable), my lower eye is my Right eye, I should cut a few inches off my long hair to lessen the length of my face and that my skin tone would be complimented with warmer highlights or a richer brown color. I got all this information, great bangs, a free latte, and listened to some really wonderful music. I give it 5 stars just for that! And, frankly, I am thinking my rating will only go up once I have experienced a full on service with them. (I'll let you know! :)) Pros: EVERYTHING I CAME ACROSS WAS AMAZING! Cons: None yet *wink*wink*

It turns out that i really enjoy the DJ's who are really talented and play some really sick mixes. I wish i could say that i had the same about the salon services. The color was a simple; I wanted to 'break the base.' I have blonde highlights and really light brown hair, so it wasn't a complicated process. I informed her that my hair took a little bit longer to lift and that i did not want it to be brassy. Itwas not only brassy but uneven. So, 5 days passes & it wouldn't calm down, so i called to see about a solution. They scheduled me for a full foil. I came in expecting that i would be paying for half of the service @ MOST b/c i was there to fix HER mistake. I was charged for a full and the color was not applied all the way to the roots, so the brassy base is even MORE noticible. She also didn't let the lift enough. When she was washing my hair she kept saying that it was "so so light" but when i got back in front of the mirror my hair looked orange. My hair does not look orange when it is wet. It was her color job. If you bleach all of the color out it will be WHITE even when it's WET. You would think she would understand this since her hair is Gwen Stefani white. She should understand the color process of blondes. It's way too dark in there to be dying people's hair. Would you paint in the dark?. Don't you adjust your lighting for photographs. LIGHTING is KEY. I payed b/c i'm not cheap. But the color was even worse this time and she couldn't have CARED LESS. Unprofessional to say the least. So, if your looking to get a latte,which will be overly chocolatey/cold & listen to someone spin, go to 7 salon. If you want a precise hair cut where the layers blend and haircolor that looks good in both daylight ( we do go outside sometimes) and warm lighting DON't go to 7. I'm not going to mention her name b/c this isn't a character attack. I just don't want anyone else to pay all of that money and spend all of their time to look like pippy longstocking!

It's funny, I joined this site specifically to rave about the same stylist as the reviewer below me! How odd, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Desiree is the first stylist I've ever had who seemed to actually know what to do with my super thick (but straight) hair. She's never given me a style that I couldn't easily (and I mean EASILY) maintain myself. I've gone from dark brunette to blond to redhead in the past year and somehow she managed to do this without irreparably damaging my hair. (Impressive, yes?) My hair looks the best it ever has and I wouldn't think for a moment of going to any other stylist or salon. Not to mention the salon space itself is gorgeous, the lattes are great, the music is fun, and the employees are nice and not snobby. Do something nice for yourself, you won't regret it! Pros: atmosphere, stylists, staff, lattes :)

I went to the new 7 salon in Pacific Place, really just to see. I decided to treat myself, because I'm always going to the generic "supercuts", etc type places and am always so unsatisfied with the way I look. I saw Desiree a few weeks ago and am so pleased that my hair STILL looks good. She talked to me about things I have never heard or thought of before, like face shape and skin tone. I know I just meant to treat myself the once, but I'm definitely going back. It's great to feel good about myself. And she showed me how to style it and everything! I had not idea my hair could look this good and make my face look better. Needless to say, I loved the salon and the stylist. Go and at least get a free latte and a fun experience. You'll learn a lot. Pros: atmosphere, stylists (Desiree in particular), music, service

A friend recommended Tony to me and since I'd been hopping salons in hopes to find that perfect stylist I decided to give it a try. I was very happy with cut he gave me and especially happy with how much time he spent "tweeking" the style. It was obvious he wanted every last strand of hair to be just right before I left his chair. This is something I have yet to find in another stylist since I visited Tony that day. Overall I was impressed with with the cut but didn't like the atmosphere. But seriously, who cares if the music is too loud as long as you're getting a great style. The only reason I haven't revisited is that their prices are too high for my modest income.
