I like Wonder Bar a lot. It is a small little place just across from the Wallingford Market. It is small and cozy inside. They have a number of very comfortable couches and a giant square couch, with a pile of pillows in the middle.
They regularly have latin jazz bands in to play, and a decent number of people show up just to dance (kind of impresssive as there is no real dance floor to speak of). A few people bring their own instruments and join in the merry making.

The Wild Rose is definitely intimidating. Filled with the Capitol Hill crowd, every one of whom seems to know each other, it can get very loud and very busy. On Wednesdays, they have a pretty impressive Karaoke set that is definitely worth a look. The drinks aren’t too expensive. My recommendation: it’s worth braving, but get your courage up.

A friend of mine recently asked me to find out about some lesbian-oriented parties in Seattle. These appear to be the three biggies with DJs:
Girl4Girl is the third Saturday of every month at the Premier Club.
Cherry at The War Room is the second Friday of every month.
Pandora's box at the Re-bar is the last Saturday of every month.
I just realized that none of these are happening this weekend. Maybe you should try the Wild Rose.
Since I have not actually been to these, I can't really recommend any particular place or party over another.
Enjoy the weekend.

This place always makes me forget I am sitting in the middle of downtown. Great little menu and average prices. Nice beer selection. It might be hard to get a table straight away if you are heading in during the lunch hour.

I can't wait to duck into the Viking now that the smoking ban is in effect. This little place is a friendly classic. There's a good mix of people, so no one stands out for being too young/old/dirty/etc.; you can just chill with your friends. The food is also pretty darn good. I've heard it is a lunch destination in certain circles, but can't confirm that rumor. No, you won't find seared ahi on arugula with vinaigrette here. Try the nachos.

Viceroy is a fun lounge in Belltown. They have a bunch of large couches, and on the weekends they have a DJ keeping the place lively. Not really a dancing destintation, Viceroy is a great spot to stop by for a drink or two, but unlikely a place where you'd spend the full evening.
Although it was St Patrick's Day when I visited, the bar was relatively full early in the evening. As the evening pushed on, the crowd thinned out appreciably (1 AM).

I'll admit it. I'm a karaoke junkie. My friends and I call it our ‘group hobby’. When we don’t feel like hitting the bars, we go to booth karaoke. Venus is one of the two options we have found in the city. The good part—all of their music selections are through some online server, so the music queues up fast. The bad side, there are no binders to flip through, so you have to navigate on a secondary, small tv with a remote controller to search for and program the song you want. It doesn’t disrupt the person who is singing, so that is good. The search feature is ok. Selection is decent, probably its biggest downside. Many of the English songs have alternative karaoke videos with japanese actors. The rooms are kind of fun and barrack like in a modern minimalist kind of way. They offer 8 different languages to choose from. I've only been once, but it was a fun evening with good friends.

I'll echo what everyone else has said and say that the burgers here are fantastic! My favorite is the bleu cheese burger which is served on a home made roll and dripping with blue cheese and spicy mustard. Good treat! They have a good beer list too, but I'm usually lunching with the work folks, so I droll over it while ordering my iced tea.
This place has been around since before Bell Town was Bell Town, so it's a great little local joint - very relaxed and friendly and the service is the same.

I can't say anything bad about Trinity. Look, New York or Miami this isn't but a fun nightclub with reasonable cover, good music, good crowd and no lines it definitely is. We went to Trinity after our debacle at Tiki Bob's and felt more at home in an environment where there were people over 29 years old and more than 2.5 minorities. Trinity had good music, with a large floor space including hip hop, reggae and and some sort of music involving metal scraping against metal (house? trance?). The crowd was a mix of locals, tourists and bridge-and-tunnelers, making for a pretty fun environment. The staff was not rude, which is unusual for any nightclub and as mentioned, there was minimal wait.
