I took my girlfriend out to Mona's last Friday night for our weekly date night. When we arrived (around 6:30pm) the lounge and dining room were already busy, but we were greeted immediately, and we fortunately were able to get a table. Their wine list looked pretty extensive, but we decided on cocktails that night. The martini was one of the best I've had in a while. The food was excellent, too. You HAVE to try the arugula salad. They drizzle truffled honey over it, and the slice of goat cheese over the top was to die for! All in all I'd say we had a great experience at Mona's. Since we went in on a Friday, it was a little loud, although still relaxed. If you're looking for something quiet, maybe earlier in the week would be better.
Pros: Ambience, Service, Food

This place has great mexican food that's different from the usual taco's and burritos fare. While the service can be percieved as a little bit quirky, the reviews that say they have bad service are WAY off base. I'm been many a times and have had nothing but good service. I go to this palce for the food. GREAT stuffed chiliies, steak, and everything else. If you want tacos and a big bean and cheese gut bomb, you'll be dissapointed, but if you want great quality Mexican food that's not typical, go here!
Pros: The Food is terrific
Cons: None!

I just read the reviews of the "Owl" here on City Search and I am bewildered at the negative comments. As a professional musician who has spent the last 35 years performing and frequenting Clubs and bars all over America I count the Owl as one of my favorites. I am left to believe that some comments are posted by competition of the bar. The owner in a bad mood all the time???......I have NEVER seen this man have a bad day. The food is good the service is friendly and the atmosphere is camp. I have never posted anything anywhere before but after reading some of these reviews I felt like I should state my opinion.
Pros: great atmosphere, food, and music
Cons: none

My husband and I love this place! And we are very picky... ;-) We have one more all time favorite place so far, which is La Rustica in West Seattle, but that's about it. The customer service these days is really bad...and it can totally ruin even the best food.
This place is great in all aspects. We always get a great service. Waiters/waitresses are polite and very welcoming!
We recommend this place to all our friends!
Pros: Food, Service, Location, Decor
Cons: None; we just wish it would open earlier... ;)

This was one of the best restaurants we ate at on our honeymoon. Aside from a bad DJ one of the nights we ate there, the place was really cool. The atmosphere is very island/tiki and the sushi bar looks right at home. Try the Spam and the Moco Loco if you like eclectic cuisine, and Happy hour is definitely worth it for inexpensive food and drinks. We were well cared-for even on an extremely crowded Friday. We will go back the next time we're in town.
Pros: Authentic and eclectic cuisine and atmosphere
Cons: A bad DJ clashes with a great restaurant

I'm going here on Friday night so decided to check out reviews. Even though I haven't been here yet I'm giving it 5 stars based purely on the review by "thestrangerseattle" (2 down). A place that that provides the illusion of privacy so that you don't feel like a total tramp for doing in public things "decent" people would only do in the bedroom? I have found heaven on earth - at least outside of Manhattan.
I moved back from NYC a year ago and have been dying for some of the rawness that exists there. I once saw a couple almost have s8e4x - hand up her skirt, mouth on nipples - in the middle of the bar area. I'm talking no curtains, no table, just a lounge disk, and IT - WAS - HOT!!! It was like p7o9r1n happening in front of your eyes and you didn't have to feel weird and creepy like you went seeking it. It was just happening and poor you innocent little bystander got caught HAVING to watch. lol heh heh heh
Cannot wait for Friday night!
footnote: I cannot believe s7e3x7 and p0o9r1n are not allowed on this freakin conservative c+r7a9pp site! God, it's almost communist! But nipples is okay. Go figure!
Pros: voyeurism/exhibitionism
Cons: conservative, stuffy Seattleites

From the outside window it just looks like a small bar, but a fair sized dining room is inside. The tiny bar is usually busy and the dining room was packed on my last visit. The dining area is a bit cramped. The walls are stocked with bottles of wine. A chilled mood is set with the dim candle lights and upbeat ambient groove music. The setting is good for a date or a hangout with a couple of friends (keep in mind that the tables are small). The tastiness of the food is what stands out for me. My recommendations are the organic spinach, pepperoni pizza, and duck leg confit. The duck is fantastic: very tender and falling off the bone. It?s also very rich. The robust flavors of the pizza and fresh frites are good with a red wine. A ? order of the plantain chips is the way to go for a small appetizer. The service has been great: attentive, giving good menu advice, and positive attitude. Marjorie is now one of my favorite joints with a funky ambiance.
Pros: Decent Prices, Decent Proportions, Environment
Cons: Belltown Parking, Cramped Dining Area

We went into Ten Mercer the other night after the ballet for a late dinner and bottle of wine. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, even with a full lobby at 10:30 at night! We were promptly taken upstairs, sat at a great table for two and thouroughly taken care of. It was busy and people were running around but it never felt hectic. Our server recommended a great bottle of wine and the proscuitto wrapped almond stuffed dates. They were amazing! We had the venison and chicken, both of us loved the choices with our wine. Overall, this restaurant is a gem at the bottom of Queen Anne!
Pros: Great late night food! Full menu offered until midnight
Cons: Waiting with the crowd to get into the restaurant
