I LOVE this place!! My fiance and I have a hard time finding a place in Seattle or anywhere in Western Washington where we feel comfortable, can have great food at a great price, and love the music. This place has all three. I've been there several times with friends eating plates of appetizers, enjoying the live music. When we were eating there have been live bands. Now, normally, this freaks me out because they usually play too loud and make your ears ring for days...not here. The music was great, the food was better. Not many places have lumpia and blackened chicken on the same menu (and they're both phenomenal). I can't tell you enough how much of a breath of fresh air Ascada is. If I'm coming to Seattle, I'm coming here.
Pros: Great ambiance, phenomenal food at a good price.
Cons: Servers get busy sometimes - you can lose them.

I went here for happy hour the other day and was pleasantly surprised to find a host of tasty and cheap items on the menu. The chicken skewers were my fave with that great dipping sauce. There could be a better selection of beer on tap, but what they had was updated and fresh. The drinks were good and the service prompt. No complaints.
Pros: Quick service, fun atmosphere, great prices
Cons: no late night happy hour

Well, it's hard to believe some of the negative reviews on this page. I have a hard time believing it was that bad considering my experiences there...
I have been there a handful of times. On Wednesdays they have a killer open mic with a handful of some extremely talented musicians. Volunteers sign up with a song in mind and somehow these musicians know how to play just about anything. After a dozen extremely unique and inspiring musicians give what they have to offer from hip-hop to funk to jazz, they judge a winner. The winner goes home with $100 and is entered in a finals group with all the prior weeks winners to the finals. The winner of the finals takes home $500 and 2 tickets to the GRAMMY'S!!!! Pretty great deal, I was surprised to hear that Grammy tickets were involved. The food is spectacular with a happy hour to envy. Almost 20 items under $4. With amazing music, a great staff, killer food and drinks, and the coolest vibe i've felt in Seattle, this place is impressive enough to call my new recommended joint.

Special thanks to the staff at Ascada, the food and service was wonderful! I had the best birthday dinner party I have ever had on Saturday. Regardless of what the idiot wrote below, those who eat & drink at Ascada prefer that haters stay away so the rest of us can enjoy this place until everyone else figures it out. I visit a neighboring restaurant, so I know where the bad press is coming from?. That is really sad but it won?t keep me and my friends away from Ascada. The food is incredible and a no brainer for the price.
Pros: Great food for the price in Queen Anne
Cons: Parking but worth it

It's so OBVIOUS that this place is getting a ton of BAD REVIEWS and that the owner - or SOMEONE IS WRITING ALL THESE 5 STAR REVIEWS.
No restaurant gets 20 of the best rating, and 15 of the worst! That just doesn't happen! I know where the REAL good restaurants are and TRUST ME. This is NOT one of them. This place is a joke and everyone I run into that's been here has shared TERRIBLE experiences like I have.
Experiences like... Me ordering food by myself (an app or something) - THEN - a large group sits down at the table behind me - and THEY get ALL of their food before I get one little plate! JUST AWFUL.
Pros: One hot blonde waitress that works there (or did)
Cons: poor service, clueless bartenders and staff,

This has got to be the best hang out in Queen Anne. I have to admit at first I did not know if it was a bistro or bar. However, after eating the food it became clear it is truly one of the best REAL restaurants I have been too in a long time. Places like this remind me of all that's edgy and smart about New York City. The food is fabulous and the atmosphere is cool with the Jimi Hendrix gold records on the wall.
In addition to being one of the few places I have been where people are not pretentious, I like it because it's close to my home, have great music, strong drinks, $2.99 happy hour and great videos. I have nothing against Pesos down the street from them or other places like that, but I am done sacrificing my stomach and ear drums because they were the only game in my neighborhood.
I am 34 and moved here 8 years ago from New York and have had the hardest time trying to find where other 25 and over hang out until Ascada. I hope they make it in QA with their unique concept; Seattle needs a place like this.
Pros: Food, atmosphere live music - real people
Cons: Parking - No late night happy hour

I loved Ascada when it was in Bellevue. Haven't actually tried it since it moved to lower Queen Anne. But just had to write that tonight, while I was parked on the street a block away, an Ascada flier was GLUED to my windshield. I really should have them detail my friggin' car, but I can tell you that any venue of any kind that literally sticks fliers to your windshield instead of just putting them under the wiper, is no place I will EVER visit. It'd be OK with me if they go under....

I thought I had died and gone to heaven! As usual my girlfriends and I like to hang out in lower Queen Anne but are tired of the same old scene at Pesos & Ozzies. When we first walked in the server greeted us with a smile and sat us in the window. Because it was a Tuesday there were not a lot of people inside but the atmosphere was incredible. I loved the gold records on the wall and the diver?s music playing throughout the restaurant... People were at the bar laughing and having a great time and seemed to really be into the food. Not being bashful, I asked someone at the bar what they suggested. And immediately she offered me some of her stuffed mushrooms, clams and giant meatballs. I thought I had died and gone to heaven, So my girlfriends and I decided to order almost everything on the happy hour menu. By the time we were finished eating the third go around they could have rolled us out the door. This is our new favorite place in Queen Anne. We love the price, the great food and the atmosphere.
Pros: Great Happy Hour until 6:30
Cons: Parking
