Praise allah that we now have a qualified alternative to the evil green machine (not that there aren't some fine local roasteries and all) - but peet's is the gear - great flavor and complexity, and not evil to boot. If you drink coffee and want to be on the side of truth and justice, get it here.

Cool place to chill out or have meeting. Great coffee and good bagels. Some of their other food looked yummy too. Pretty cozy location to grab some down time. Cherry St.'s brand stands in Belltown!

Great coffee prepared to perfection, minus the superior attitude. Thanks again, Lighthouse.
I keep trying other coffees, thinking they'll take the hint, but nobody can touch the fresheness, roast or espresso preparation of LHR.
Boomaye, Lighthouse. Boomaye!

This cafe is a really nice place to drink tea. They have a nice selection of teas, very high quality, and they seem to be pretty knowledgeable about them too. It's not like the other places that serve you green tea from a tea bag, steeped in boiling water for five minutes... They pay attention to the correct water temperature and steeping time which is a welcome change.

I am surprised by the size of the store front. Plenty of seating. Lots of room and in the summer, they open up the windows so it's kind of like indoor patio. Very nice to be sipping coffee and watching people walk by. Free wifi. They take Visa/Master, even though they don't advertise it at the door.

The best brewed coffee/pulled espresso available in Seattle. Also the best roaster. Probably also the best place to ask any coffee-related question. Home to a recent U.S. barista champion. Vibe—an extreme informality which seems authentic rather than unctuous, though I change my mind on every sixth Thursday afternoon. This ambiguity comes from its location—Eastlake’s core—an increasingly gentrifying neighborhood which has held out much longer than, say, Fremont could. Unfortunately or not, Hines is currently (sometime mid-to-late August) being forced to relocate (I’ve heard Belltown).

If you're looking for a good-quality espresso...if you like a perfect foam...if you appreciate a warm, hip ambience...then Diva's is the spot for you! This location is one of the newer ones and though it's nestled in what appears to be a tiny strip mall, inside is the same Diva decor and beverage you (may) know and love. Two of my sisters own a popular coffeehouse in Colorado and the place they want to return to time and again when in Seattle is Diva's. Once while waiting for my double tall non-fat, I happened to mention my car had just been stolen and they gave me my drink on the house! Not just good coffee, but compassion as well!

This place is fantastic! They have a little satellite stand in the atrium under the Rainier Tower and I am a devout customer (along with my entire office). I never knew I liked mochas...the ones I have tried have been syrupy and bitter, so I stuck with flavored lattes. But the Dilettante changed all that. They use real molten chocolate and they have several different types, ranging from extra-dark (70-something percent) to the creamy perfection of milk and white chocolate. It really is unlike any other espresso drink out there and a MUST if you are a chocolate fan. Just make sure they make it hot enough...their baristas are careful not to burn you, so the drinks can be a bit cooler than I'm used to.
