The servers attitude is great and the general ambiance is very courteous. Simply spoken, it just takes way too long to get your coffee / food. Multiple times they seem to have even forgotten my order and I have to go inquire about it. But again, they're super nice about it.
There was a definite pro to the place - amongst their books and games I happened upon a book written from the first person perspective of the dog from Frasier. Literally. The dog referred to himself.

Located on the north Ave, in the U-District, The Blue Dog Cafe opened a year ago and is still doing well- though word hasn't spread much the regulars are loyal. The staff at the cafe is friendly and casual, there is usually mellow french music playing or folk radio. The decor is like grandmas house- if grandma was cool and liked color. They offer a selection of coffee drinks, thai iced tea, sandwiches and salads as well as homemade pastries that are amazing. I especially recommend the chai pound cake. This is one of my favorite places to study or bring a date for coffee and evening light.
