The only reason that this place stays in business is because of its location, that's for sure. It's for tourists, not repeat customers! We ordered a birthday cake and it was tasteless, dry, and tiny for $35. The women that work there also need to work on their customer service skills and attitude. Awful!

Our company ordered a cake from Pike Place Bakery to celebrate some birthdays at work. The cake looked ok on the outside but as we started digging in there was a giant hair woven through it...yuck. When our office manager brought the cake back to complain (because that's what you do when you find a hair in your food, right?), they accused her of lying and wouldn't give her our money back. 20 of us witnessed the hair being pulled from the middle of it! They said that we had already eaten half the cake so they couldn't do anything. Well yeah, the hair was baked in the middle of it...we didn't discover it until half the people had been served! Such poor customer service. I will never go back...so gross. Those who tried the cake "pre-hair" said it wasn't good anyway...way too dry and too much frosting…

This bakery centrally located in the heart of Pike's Place Market has a wonderful display of goodies! They look amazing and the variety is enormous. This is the way a bakery should look! They have enormous Texas sized donuts, buttery cookies and coffee cakes galore. I love to pick up a dozen of assorted cookies whenever I'm there. They used to have a special of $5 for a dozen cookies, and this was an awesome deal. I haven't seen it lately, but if you see it, snap them up!!!

Highly recommended. Great assortment of home-made and hand-made pastries, breads, cakes, cookies, rolls, etc. Very decent prices as well. No checks or credit cards. Always a line. Located across from the big piggy bank at Pike Place Market. Go in the morning when the vendors are setting up stalls and everything is fresh and hot. Nut and Raisin bread loafs (weigh, like, 3 lbs each) for less than $3. Sometimes they give away free calendars with interesting religious icons on them. If they’re hanging up, ask them for one and they’ll give you one. Staff is friendly and happy to help you. Great place to get a birthday cake for someone special. No eat-in area. Strictly take away.

No checks or credit cards. Cash only. Right across from large brass pig. Get a nut loaf for $2.75, or donuts as big as a baby's head for even cheaper. They make their own bread and have many varieties to choose from and will slice it for free if you ask them. Not a "sit down" type place. Order your stuff and go. Many tasty cakes to choose from as well for very inexpensive prices.
Please support local businesses like this one. You will regret ever buying baked goods from a grocery store again

Whenever I go to Seattle (which is not as often as I'd like), I ask my daughter & her hubby to take me not only to Pike Place Market, but beg to stop by this most WONDERFUL bakery in the world. IT's right next to the fish guys that throw the fish, and they have THE best home-made pasteries, donuts, cakes, cookies, and breads I've had in a LONG time.
They do not take credit cards or checks--cash only.
The thing I always go there for are these huge nut and raisin loafs they have for $2.75. I swear these things must weigh 5 lbs MINIMUM. They feed 4 people for DAYS and they are HUGE. I always get 3 or 4 to take back to SC with me and freeze.
