We now have a wonderful shop on par with some of the best children's stores elsewhere in the country. The mix of clothing and unusual vintage inspired toys is lovely, and the store is beautifully merchandised. I could have bought everything in there! Definitely a great reason to drive over to Madrona.

Although some people might find the shop pricey...the quality and selection of merchandise is so outstanding. They have great sales, also. I found it unique and amazing that this shop exists in Seattle...it could easily be in New York or London...one definitley has to go discover it.. but once you are there, it is a great find.

Many of the items at Madrona Moose are pricey without offering a lot of variety. Several times I have visited this store to buy gifts only to come out empty-handed. I like the idea of a toy and clothing store in Madrona, but I would like to see more substantial wooden toys and fewer stuffed animals.

Full disclosure here: I am one of the owners of Madrona Moose, a new children's store in the Madrona neighborhood in Seattle. I just wanted to point out a review of the Moose store that just came out yesterday in a new edition of Kaie Wellman 's book, "eat.shop.seattle - second edition." From the book.... "my daughter lola and her best friend alice love clothes and they often like to exchange from their closets. it's a good deal for both because lola prefers romantic, girly clothes and alice likes her threads to be modern and cool. both girls could shop happily at moose. carrie carries the perfect blend of darling classics from europe and funkier, contempo styles from the states. and then to round it all out, she's got one of the best collections of toys and books in seattle....." The book, "eat.shop.seattle - second edition" (written by kaie wellman www.eatshopguides.com) is now available at certain stores in the Seattle area, including Madrona Moose (and will soon be more widely available). The book is a (self-described) "guide to the most interesting shopping, eating and drinking in seattle washington usa."
