Three of my neighbors all suggested Tony when I needed some work shortly after moving to Greenwood. I am SO glad that they did. I was expecting to have to replace my entire exhaust system, turns out it was a bad gasket and cost under $70 including labor and tax. I would have believed (and even mentioned to him I expected) that I needed a whole system, but his honesty saved me hundreds. And so I brought him my car when my power steering went out... turns out it was the rack and pinion - and he did the work for over a hundred less than other quotes I received, was professional, and quick. I'll be taking my car back for a full tune up and a brake job as time requires.

I took my car to one shop that diagnosed it at $2800, more than it's value. Eric's diagnostic was only $1500. They had a simple checklist, each item rated by urgency of repair. They didn't try to impress me, they were just nice and reasonable and really seemed to know their stuff. Eric even said he would reimburse the $50 I paid if I came back for the repairs. I sold my car today but sent the buyer with my receipt so they can go to Eric's too. I highly recommend Eric's.. I'm actually sad I sold my car now.

SO IMPRESSED!!
As a young girl who doesn't know any mechanical terms I was a little worried when I was describing my problem, "It's kinda of doing this lurching thing...oh and I think the fluids might be low...oh you know, all of them up there."
Matt's Auto ran a diagnostic on my car and when they were looking up the meaning of the code they discovered Toyota had issued an extended warranty for my make and model with this problem. Seems that there was a faulty computer component that would have cost me a cool $1000 but now Toyota's fixing it for free!
Pros: HONEST, Helpful and Friendly
Cons: If I had to pick - took a few days to get in.

I have been going to Superior Automotive for about 3 years and can't say enough good things about it. It is sometimes hard to find a mechanic you like, but these guys are just great. They know my name and what kind of car I have and are always nice and helpful on the phone and in person. They are also timely and accomadating. They do quality work and try to save you money whenever they can. You can tell they aren't trying to rip anyone off. They also have a really comfortable waiting area and a convienient location. I never really do these reviews unless I really like a place, but I think these guys deserve the props.
Pros: Friendly, Professional, Honest

Andy has worked on several of my japanese vehicles. Never had a problem - he calls with the estimate before proceeding and he gets it done when he says he will. That's all you can really ask from a mechanic. Highly recommend.

I have a mixed view of this place. They are located in lower Queen Anne, right between Aurora and Dexter, and specialize in European cars, obviously. What I didn’t like about them is that they are pretty pricey: $1,800 for an inspection, brake pads, rotors and tune up. Also, when I picked up the car, it was making a terrible thudding/vibrating noise that wasn’t there before. It was a bolt whose threads have torn while they were fixing the car before, and they didn’t notice. At the same time, the customer service at Europa seems to be quite good. They took immediate care of the bolt problem, and replaced 3 other deteriorating bolts for free, and the owner drove me to work, from Queen Anne to Bellevue.

More
My last job required me to drive so much that every couple of years it seemed like I needed a new car. After losing my second car, I was stuck and called everywhere, searched car magazines, and bussed the entire King County determined to not buy until I got the best deal and exactly what i wanted (even though my work dep'd on me getting a car asap).
After getting high prices from Bill Pierre Chev., too much of a sales pitch from the credit guy at W.Seattle's big Chev. dealer, buying a car from Dodge of Bellevue that they later deemed unsuitable and took back (kudos to their principles), and calling every ad w/a great deal (to find that the car was sold last nite), I finally called Chuck Olson. After telling them, I was so fed up with bad pricing and car hunting that I would buy the car that night if they could price it right, they went the extra mile and found the most awesome deal for me. My salesman, Bill K., was so nice and never pressured me. He was always positive and made the wait most all new car buyers go thru pass quickly.
To this day, despite depreciation and the worry I need to tune my car up more than i do, I love my car, I love the deal they got me, and I'd even buy one of their Kia's (despite an ex boyfriend/car salesman telling me otherwise) just because they would be selling it to me. So, though they're technically located in Shoreline, WA (close enuf to Seattle)..i think they definitely fit the bill for a great place to buy a car (they also have a great service dept...they went out of their way to get me a new wheel specially designed to fit my car overnite w/out any extra charge and they send me svc reminders). You should check them out!
