My transmission went out while I was driving on the I-5. I called Towing in Seattle for help. The driver arrived in 25 minutes of me calling and he was very professional and friendly. He even let me ride with him to take my car to a mechanic he suggested. I would like to recommend this company for their affordable service and friendly drivers. Thank you!

Three of my neighbors all suggested Tony when I needed some work shortly after moving to Greenwood. I am SO glad that they did. I was expecting to have to replace my entire exhaust system, turns out it was a bad gasket and cost under $70 including labor and tax. I would have believed (and even mentioned to him I expected) that I needed a whole system, but his honesty saved me hundreds. And so I brought him my car when my power steering went out... turns out it was the rack and pinion - and he did the work for over a hundred less than other quotes I received, was professional, and quick. I'll be taking my car back for a full tune up and a brake job as time requires.

These guys have truly earned my appreciation. Tony (the owner) and Mike (manager) are running a really unique auto center. The whole business seems built on trust and fairness to the customer (I could hardly believe it myself!). I came in for an estimate on an oily timing belt and other oil leaks, and theirs was $300 less than Gregg’s. After doing the work, Tony noticed a leak he hadn’t spotted at first (oil filter valve) – and said he’d fix it for free – just out of commitment to doing the job right. I was pretty shocked (maybe even a little suspicious). But he fixed it (a half day job, as it was under some kind of a manifold), and also changed the oil for free.
Aside from quality work, I liked the time Tony spent explaining all he had done, and his “philosophy” about serving the customer. When I got home, I felt really at ease, and I realized I’d never dealt with any mechanics I’d really trusted before. It was a real feeling of community.
They just opened September 2006, and I don’t think many people know about them. That’s why I’m writing this review.

More
Next to finding a doctor and a hairstylist, a reputable auto repair shop is hard thing to find when you're new in town. Especially one that doesn't take advantage of women. I've had bad experiences from places like dealership repair shops. I asked a few people and they all recommended Tom's in West Seattle. Couldn't be happier! The mechanics are well-experienced. Women work the front office and are very knowledgeable, they're honest, and do quality work. Tom is always on hand to answer your questions thorougly, and I never felt intimidated or like I was being ripped off. I even had a problem with my hood closing one morning and he personally came out and spent 20mins working on it. I also recently had a neccessary major overhaul on my truck, and it's running like a champ now. They're low-pressure and prioritize any services that you need. Nice personal touch is they send you Thank Yous after each service, and get the occasional coupon in the mail. Would definitely continue to recommend.

As far as tires for your car are concerned, this is an ok place to get cheap used tires. They are typical auto people looking for a fast buck, but deals can be had here. Be sure to inspect the tyres you buy and dont take their word for it that they are ok. Otherwise they are laid back and not pushy and in the end the price is ok compared to nes tires. Be sure not to buy tires that have been repaid from a puncture. Look closly for repaired holes - dont tocuh those or demand they charge litteraly just a few bucks for the tyre.

More
TBT towing is in the practice of waiting until the business that it has contracts with to close and then towing anyone still in the lot. They have a legal ground that the cars there are no longer authorized, but most often the business has not requested to have the cars towed and are not aware of whats going on. I feel strongly that people should not support such unethical behavior, so please use another company for your towing needs.

I have been taking my car to Taylor Brake for the past 5 years. I recommend Taylor Brake to all of my friends and co-workers. Don and Cindy are honest, reliable, and provide me with information I need to make an informed decision about my auto repairs. They explain things in laymans terms and their prices are less than the competition. They are awesome!

Remember when auto mechanics were shifty, unscrupulous grease-monkeys? I'm sure you can still find those guys, but not here. The first time I had my Saab serviced here, I was blown away. They called beforehand to discuss service options and a diagnosis, they go out of their way to make sure you understand what needs to be done, what it will cost, and how fast they can do it -- and it does not deviate from those specs. Your car comes back clean, quite likely with a single flower on the dash, and its not uncommon to score a free t-shirt on pick-up. If you drive a Saab or Volvo, you'd be nuts to go anywhere else.
