If you need to park downtown near the King County Courthouse for several hours, the "early bird special" at the United Parking garage is a decent deal. If you get in before 10am, it's only $11, which isn't bad considering that the parking is attended (in fact, they park your car for you). I've noticed that they have what appears to be a closed-circuit security camera system, too, though I didn't actually see anyone carefully monitoring the t.v. screen. There's nothing fancy about this garage (there are several broken-out building windows and some of the plaster on the interior has fallen-off), but the price is right for my pocketbook! As you’re driving North on 4th, turn left into the garage at the corner of 4th and Columbia.

When my car wouldn't start at U. Village at 6pm this was the only place I could find open. It also happened to be right next to U. Village. The mechanic also recommended a tow place over the phone (which turned out to be the fastest arrival and tow job I have ever witnessed). The mechanic seemed competent and the price seemed fair. As a result, when my husband needed an overall check-up on his car, he brought it here.

If you'd like your trailer hitch lights blown, your dashboardfuses blown,and the manager to insult you, this is the location for you!
My husband and I tried to rent a trailer from them this past weekend (5/20/06)--the kid they sent out to hook us up was nice, but had never hooked up a trailer before!
Unfortunately, his inexperience caused him to hook things up incorrectly, not only blowing out one of the wires in our trailer hitch hook up, but blowing the fuse to our dashboard panel as well. When we tried to talk to the location manager about the problems (they of course wouldn't let us rent at this point, since we "came in without working lights"), she disavowed all responsibility, and insulted us.
So, we went to Costco and bought a $659 trailer instead, thereby guaranteeing we will never rent from U-Haul again.
Surly attitude, untrained employees and overall antagonistic staff.

I had just moved to Seattle, and stopped by for an oil change. The staff was great. It was a fairly busy day, but they still took the time to tell me where all the local shops were and things to do within walking distance while I waited. It only took about an hour to get my oil changed, they called me when it was done, and even did a complimentary vacuum!! They're great here

I encountered this dealership in my quest to find an inexpensive reliable used car.
This place has a large selection of vehicles, used and new, and is conveniently located in downtown Seattle, but I did not find the staff to be the best. While my sales guy was very friendly, I felt that they didn't take me seriously and weren't very accomodating. It could just have been me but I had a much better experience at the Honda of Seattle dealership, which has the same owner.
They have lots of Scions and Corrollas, plus a variety of other used cars (Echo, some VWs, etc).

After having a terrible experience at Burien Toyota, I headed up to Lake City. They were willing to take their time and didn't pressure me at all on buying. I spent more time talking to the salesperson about photography than him trying to sell me a truck.
I also received a thank you call from them for mailing them a pair of extra keys. That says a lot!
Pros: will take as much time as needed
Cons: nobody ever feels like they got a deal at a dealership ;)

Very friendly service! I had a great experience when moving to Seattle from VA with the Jeep dealer working with me to change my oil and service my jeep after a long drive across country. The customer service representatives are friendly and helpful and they have many appointment times to suit many different people's needs.
