After having a terrible experience at Burien Toyota, I headed up to Lake City. They were willing to take their time and didn't pressure me at all on buying. I spent more time talking to the salesperson about photography than him trying to sell me a truck.
I also received a thank you call from them for mailing them a pair of extra keys. That says a lot!
Pros: will take as much time as needed
Cons: nobody ever feels like they got a deal at a dealership ;)

Moe is a very unique mechanic. Although I don't have a Saab and have not had him work on my car, I can tell that his customers love him and think the world of the way he treats them. Let me explain: One morning, while we were meeting on a business matter, a customer came in early to pick up her car. She already had a plate of cookies in her hand when she walked in the door. She had made them special for him the night before. They talked about what he had found wrong with the car and had done to fix it. I was amazed when she exclaimed, "Wow, I was expecting the bill to be much higher!" Before leaving, she gave him a big hug and thanked him for all he does to take care of her car and not take advantage of her.
So, I ask you... When was the last time you hugged YOUR mechanic?
Go to Moe's Automotive. He works on more than Saabs... and did you know that he also has cars for sale? When Moe sells a car, he sends the buyer out with a warranty, because he knows that the car is right and won't be coming back with an unhappy customer.
When was the last time you got a free warranty on a used car you bought?

Pacific Rim Automotive was one of many Subaru shops I called for a price on head gaskets for my Outback. Not only did they have the best price they gave me a loaner car while mine was in for service. They really know Subaru vehicles well. The only negative I found was that they are closed on weekends. Yet since I had the loaner it didn't really matter.

My van's engine blew up when my fiancee was driving it down the Express Lanes on I-5! We had it towed to Gene's 34th St. Garage (my girlfriend and her family have been going there for years) and was given prompt service. Gene got back to me very quickly with a couple of alternatives and prices so I could make an informed decision. Once I gave him the go-ahead, the work was completed exactly as promised and on time for the price quoted. Two days later, I was driving my van again like it was brand-new.
34th Street Garage has a long and loyal customer list and I can certainly see why. I've already recommended to several satisfied friends. However, if you're looking for some fancy garage that will waste a lot of time hand-holding instead of working on your vehicle, this is NOT the place for you. These guys are strictly a professional shop with a solid focus on fixing your vehicle.
For the ladies: This is a small privately-owned business that you can trust completely to be honest in their work. I'd send my Mother there!

I have purchased six cars from Honda of Seattle and I was really pleased with my last experence. I was looking at both used and new cars and not sure what I wanted. The salesperson spent a few hours with me going through me options on this lot as well as at their second store, Toyota of Seattle. I finally chose to go with the Accord sedan because it fit my family's needs. They sat me down, got me coffee and some cookies, then asked me what I wanted to pay for the car. I had never seen this approach from a car dealership and was pleasantly surprised. Once the numbers were agreed upon, they detailed it and walked me through all the ins and outs of the vehicle. I plan on sending all my friends and family members to buy from this particular salesperson and Honda of Seattle. Everyone should give them a chance to earn their business.
Pros: Highly skilled sales staff, easy pricing, location, and two stores to pick from

Rick's Rox!! I took my TJ (Jeep) in for a axle swap and ARB Locker.. best service EVER! They did the work right the first time (other place screwed it up) and it was cheaper. The guy at the counter (Mark I think?) was very informative and they had good coffee ;-P
