My Ladrover quit running aaa towed it to Elliott Auto They were able to get it repaired and running in a short piriod of time. It was just a loose ground wire that the dealer did not tighten wile they had it in for service. Thanks Waide and David for the prompt and great service. I was very pleased with the work Aaron and his associate did with my black USP Audi A4. The exterior was not in good shape due to some pretty bad swirl marks. They were right on time in picking up my car and put 16 solid man-hours into making it look better than the day I bought it. Almost all the swirl marks were removed and the car shone in a shade of black I didn't think was possible. Honestly, it's like I have a brand new car. If you want truly the best detail, for the interior or exterior, 3LG is the only place to go in the greater Puget Sound area.

I haven't had a mechanic I can trust since 2002 due to various career relocations. A coworker recommended Bernie's after I just dropped 1,200 on 4 engine mounts, a cv boot and an oil change at some other garage. She also gave me a card for a free oil change which is always a cool deal. I took one of our vehicles in and they even replaced the dead battery in her security remote at the same time. Everyone else has said, "Go to the dealer." These guys are absolutely awesome. When I walked in the front door they looked professional and obviously knew what they were talking about from the first words uttered. The mega plus: they didn't try and talk me into senseless replacements for things I knew didn't need to be done. They recommended realistic things that could be done next time I had the extra cash, and they assured me that a problem wouldn't leave me by the side of the road. BUT... if I was left with a disabled vehicle they also have free towing. I about slapped myself in the face to make sure I wasn't dreaming. They also gave me a rewards card which gives me a percentage back with every service done. I've NEVER had a mechanic that's done that even my favorite mechanic known as "Dad." I will definitely continue taking all our vehicles to Bernie's.
Pros: Professional, well-mannered, knowledgable, efficient
Cons: I haven't found any yet.

I needed new tires for my car. I shopped around and found a couple places that had my tires for what seemed like a good price. I went here beacause they were close to my house and had a good price. The service was great the car was done right on time. While they were working on it they asked me to come out and take a look at something. They pointed out a couple of repairs that needed to be done. What I really liked is they showed me where my oil was leaking and why my tires needed to be aligned. No aggressive pushing to fix it just showed me the problem. I didn't have time to fix it right away but they gave me a price and I went home and shopped around to see if the price was reasonable. The price they gave me was by far the best I found. I made an appointment to get the work done and again dropped the car off at the appointed time and it was done by the time they said it would be. I am happy to say this this is a good shop and a place that I can highly recommend

These guys were the REAL better way to go.
After the competition tried to upsell me (amplifier, subwoofer, etc,), when all I really needed was to replace my blown factory speakers, I decided to check out Stereo Warehouse.
I walked in, and within 5 minutes they had sold me some great, basic replacement speakers without trying to send me home with a whole new system.
Installation went relatively fast. Their waiting area could be a little better, but for the price (installation was almost half of that at the competitors) I am not going to complain much.
The staff is colorful. I was surprised at the expletives, but I didn't care. You may want to leave the kids in the car when you come in. :)
And by the way, my system sounds just fine! Thanks guys!
Pros: Won't try to upsell you, knowledgeable.
Cons: Waiting area, neighborhood.

If you want to pay 50% more for gear that's been detailed between uses and someone to hold your hand while using it, go to Home Depot. If you know what you need and how to use it, want it cheaper and want to do local business, the guys at Handy Andy are the best.

Good: New owner is Paul Yoshihara, who worked for the former owner who retired. Paul's service (estimating, working with insurer) was excellent and the body work was great. He is easy to deal with and very professional. The reviews of the old H&I were high, and they may deserve to be a little higher now.. Bad: It took a bit to be able to clearly understand the woman who answers the phone (Asian accent). But she is also very good to work with..

I brought an older VW I was thinking of buying to Carl's for a pre-purchase inspection. The service was so great, and Carl was VERY helpful and kind. They even did some things like changing a lightbulb that was burned out and didn't charge me for it. The best part is that Carl explained everything to me in detail and didn't treat me like a Dumb Girl - which many mechanics tend toward. He gave me some solid advice and I'm sticking with him since buying the car. I highly recommend this place!
