I went to Tony based on good reviews on citysearch.. I needed some pretty major body repairs done, my drivers side door needed to be completely replaced. The body repair was done, $2500 and looks great. BUT when I got my car back, there were some serious electrical issues. I guess they occurred when they had to hook the door up, its all electric. Notified Tony and he took the car back and checked it out. Got a few of the problems fixed (or so he though) that night, the same problems occurred, radio goes in and out, lights inside not working, windows not rolling down, that sort of thing. I think I am going to have to shell out money to take to an electrical shop. I know that these things were working when I took it to Tony, and now they are now. But he said my car is known for electrical problems. gggrrr I would say if you dont need anything electrical work done, he would be fine. Reasonable rates.

Three of my neighbors all suggested Tony when I needed some work shortly after moving to Greenwood. I am SO glad that they did. I was expecting to have to replace my entire exhaust system, turns out it was a bad gasket and cost under $70 including labor and tax. I would have believed (and even mentioned to him I expected) that I needed a whole system, but his honesty saved me hundreds. And so I brought him my car when my power steering went out... turns out it was the rack and pinion - and he did the work for over a hundred less than other quotes I received, was professional, and quick. I'll be taking my car back for a full tune up and a brake job as time requires.

I used the earlier reviews and chose this place, and I'm not sorry. Tony is passionate about honesty and quality, as well as about avoiding after-market parts (which he considers junk). He also talked me out of repairs that he thought were too expensive for the amount of improvement possible. In addition to fixing my car well and properly, he added several bits of service: he explained exactly why each repair was necessary, displayed the removed parts to show what was wrong with them, showed me the boxes for the new parts to prove that they were directly from the factory, pointed out where the repairs were done on the car, and insisted I give it a test drive before I said I was satisfied. Not even in the dim mythical past of friendly neighborhood mechanics have I seen service like this.

About two years ago,a friend advised me to take my car to Tony's and I have been going there ever since. He is kind, knowledgable and I always feel I am getting an honest deal. Since then, I have talked to several people in the neighborhood that take their cars to Tony and have been completely satisfied. It is so great to have an auto mechanic who you know is trustworthy, especially if you are clueless about cars.He even has a comfortable couch and juice to serve while you are in his waiting area!

Tony's Greenwood Auto (and Auto Body) is an excellent place to take your car. Tony is extremely knowledgeable, hardworking and honest. Women: you don't have to be afraid of being overcharged here! When my radiator cracked I freaked out and had to find a mechanic ASAP. Luckily a friend recommended Tony. I called and he got me in the very next day (even came in a bit early so I could drop off my car in time to take the bus into work). He gave me an estimate on the phone and talked me through all the components. The repair was done on time and Tony was great. I'll be taking my car back here every time.
