i went in for an oil change and brakes and had the similar price run around, but stuck to my guns and he compromised on the price. However, the next time i took my car to jiffy lube for an oil change i was alerted to the fact that precision had lost my bolts holding my skid plate on and instead of telling me, just zip tied the skid plate back on.....will never go back.

i totally agree with all these postings. i had a similar experience to another reviewer - went in with a coupon in hand for an advertised oil change and check engine light special. i ended up paying out the nose because a) the special oil change price only applied to certain cars, one of which mine wasn't, and b) the FREE check engine light offer also only applied to certain cars. BOO, shame on Precision!

I took my car in a while back ago for an oil change/lube. They tried to lie that my pcv valve was old, need replacing and it would cost $$$$$$$. It was a new valve that costed like 4 bucks at Schucks, and any monkey can change it. I checked the valve myself and it was fine. I paid for the oil change and left. Don't do it!

Precision Tune is way too expensive. They also try to get you to do things that aren't necessary. Their service takes way too long to do anything. If you drop off your car, you'd better have a plan... More

Precision Tune is way too expensive. They also try to get you to do things that aren't necessary. Their service takes way too long to do anything. If you drop off your car, you'd better have a plan B for transportation because it may be awhile before you see your car again. I would not recommend Precision Tune to anybody for anything.

I took my car here once and most likely won't give it another shot. I decided to take them up on a special they had posted for an oil change. When it was all said and done the price was significantly higher than the advertised price. They also did a diagnostic test on my car and found several issues that 'should be' taken care of. After talking to a friend of mine who used to work at a repair shop in the area he let me know that it's common practice for employees at Precision Tune to have a target dollar amount of service that 'should' be attended to. I would give it an 'ok' rating because I just wanted an oil change and that's pretty hard to mess up.
