I've taken my subaru to Pacific Rim for service twice now, once for a clutch and again for some oil that had found its way past the gaskets and seals into the spark plug area.
They were thorough and honest and cared for my car as much as I do, which is saying a lot. And since they gave me a rather nice loaner car, I was happy that they took the time to do things right.
They charge less than the dealer, use quality OEM parts, and provide loaner cars upon request. They even wash your car for you after any kind of service. I will be using them again for my next service and in the future.

Pacific Rim Automotive was one of many Subaru shops I called for a price on head gaskets for my Outback. Not only did they have the best price they gave me a loaner car while mine was in for service. They really know Subaru vehicles well. The only negative I found was that they are closed on weekends. Yet since I had the loaner it didn't really matter.

I had been taking my VW to the dealer since I bought it new a few years ago. Recently a friend of mine had recommended Pacific Rim to me. He had been taking his Subaru to them for years, and suggested that I give them a try. I liked the fact that they had loaner cars, just like the dealer. They saved me about $200 on my 40K service compared to the dealer. They gave me a list of items that my car still needs and prioritized them so that I can budget for them. I like this approach, in the past the dealer insisted that nothing could wait and had to be fixed right away. I trust these guys and will use them again.

I had previously taken my car to another shop. They wanted to install a new engine at a price of over $6,000 dollars. Jay at Pacific Rim explained that I only need to have new head gaskets installed. They needed to keep my car for a week yet it was worth it. $1,800 later I had new head gaskets. Highly recommend, just wish I would have found them sooner.

This shop is great, they saved me a lot of money on my Audi. Another shop told me I needed a transmission and wanted thousands to fix it. I had it towed to Pacific Rim Automotive and they determined that the clutch had failed. They had the car for a couple of days and let me borrow a car while mine was being repaired.

Previously I had been to another shop for my all wheel drive problems and they we're not able to fix it. Pacific Rim Automotive was able to fix it in one day and they even washed it for me.

Be very very careful with this shop. I took my Subaru into them to fix a rattle. They did so. $87 no parts 1 hour labor. Likely took them 20mins. They then told me I need new front brakes, rotors and flush. The price tag $440. They said my pads were gone and that my rotors would need to be replaced. I told them my front brakes were done 24K ago by Affordable Tire and Brakes and I wanted to get Affordable's opinion. I called Affordable and they quoted me $220, for pads and rotors, no flush. The manager of Pac Rim told me Affordable was lying, and they could never do this job for this price, and that they couldn't be using factory parts. Pac Rim actually called Affordable with me standing there, and Affordable assured him they were using Subaru parts. Pac Rim thought they could match the price. They couldn't. Wait, it gets better. I took the car to Affordable. After looking at the brakes and rotors, Affordable tells me my brake pads are at 35% to 40%, and the rotors won't need to be replaced. Affordable indeed uses Subaru parts.
I will never use Pacific Rim again, it is quite likely they have charged me for work I didn't need in the past. Too bad, I thought these guys were a well run honest operation. Not so!

I think the repair was fine albeit a tad on the expensive side. However, their customer service was a bit poor. For example they called me to say the car was ready on a Friday at 5:05pm . However, they close at 5:30 and are not open on weekends. The guy was nice enough to stay 15 minutes late so I could get the car, but he didn't seem too happy about it. My suggestion: if you have an idea the car might be ready right before closing, give the customer some advance warning. Also, if you need extended hours or weekend availability this might not be the place for you. I note they do not publish their hours on their website. Here they are: 8-5:30pm M-F, closed weekends.

I am very unhappy with Pacific Rim Automotive. They charged me $250 to oil my windshield wiper motor. Seven weeks later, the wipers won't work. They then tell me it's the motor and tell me it will be another $800 to repair. When I told them I was getting a second opinion, they refused to put my windshield motor and wipers back in place without charging me labor to do so. Beware. I trusted them through a number of different auto repairs and they were expensive but things worked. After this, I will never go back and may file a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office of consumer affairs.
