My husband and I purchased a flat panel LCD TV and had this same company install it for us. They were great. They were on time and under budget, and they helped train us on how to use it (that wasn't easy!) I really recommend this store whether you are buying or looking for service.

These guys didn't try to sell me on repair, they were very honest and truthful. I was ready to pay to have my DVD player fixed, but they convinced me it was cheaper to buy a new one instead. They could have taken me, but instead they elected to "lose" this one repair in order to gain my future business. I'll go back to them anytime I need anything related to electronics.

It's hard to find people who can work on modern electronic equipment. It's even more surprising to find people who can do this and who are nice and easy to deal with. The front counter person was friendly and courteous. When I picked up my amp, I had a question, so the tech came out and spent fifteen minutes explaining to me what I needed to know. (Turns out I had blown the amp because the speaker wires in my apartment we shorted.) I wish I could find other businesses like this.

Precision Audio & Video fixed my 42" TV in less than 2 weeks and seemed very fair in price after I had called nearly every shop in puget sound. The staff was great and took their time to explain what had broken on my TV and what they did to fix it. After the TV was fixed, I found out that they also install plasma TV's on the wall, so I had them do that too. They did a fabulous job, they installed the TV in a place that not even Best Buy's installers could do, and it looked perfect. I had been getting estimates from several other installation companies in the area and most of them said what I was asking for couldn't be done for the price I was getting quoted over the phone. Precision did it for the price they said they would and did it exactly the way I wanted it. Their installers cleaned up after themselves and even spent an extra hour beyond their normal insatllation time figuring out a way to do what I was asking for and they didn't charge me for that hour!!! They installed my speakers in the wall, hooked up all of my components and made them all work together the way they were supposed to. All in all I say Kudos to Precision Audio & Video they were great!! When my 42" Panasonic plasma TV broke I was thinking about replacing it until I called Precision A/V and they assured me that it could be fixed. The cost of the repair was less than I had approved it to and in fact much less than anyone else had quoted me. I appreciate Precision Audio & Video's service very much, they did what they said they would and they did it well. I felt obliged to tell everyone about my good experiences with this company. As far as them charging more than an auto mechanic, I wonder if it's not because there is a million auto mechanics in this world but only a few people have the skills to do what these guys do?

My experience started out good for television repair for my Samsung, but when a business procedure was not followed, one person on staff did not engage appropriately according to my desires as a customer. I selected Precision AV because it's nearby and the shop rate was reasonable. (Note: many other shops charge by the procedure, not by the hour, and that can be a better deal, particularly for difficult to diagnose situations). After dropping off the TV, the first call I received about the service was to tell me that it was complete, and that I owed nearly twice my pre-authorized amount. I talked the situation over with the technician, who was quite candid and cordial and we had a good conversation. We hung up with the understanding that I would think about my options. After calling around I called Precision back and started a discussion about my options. The person with whom I spoke was very dismissive of my situation, almost rude. I was unwilling to pay the entire repair amount as I had not authorized it, yet I was willing to pay a portion over the pre-authorization. However, the Precision AV person would only allow an all-or-nothing solution: pay for it all, or pay only the diagnosis fee and they would undo the fix. That seemed to be a very strange position to hold since it would cost more. It did not seem that he consulted anyone else in the office about options. I did have good conversation with three other people on staff, including the technician and the lead technician. In the end we reached agreement. I know that situations such as this do happen at times but it's not pleasant to go through. My conversation with the owner after this situation has been good, and he is working on improvements.

My experience was anything but happy. They charge $80/hour. And it is all about them, the customer is the vehicle from which they make money. There is no customer service. We are going to stick it to you, do you want to proceed. I wished I had called around to get hourly rates, from the JVC list of warranty repair shops. My Bad, I will never make that mistake again. They told me it would be 2 weeks it was 3.5. They said it would be $80 - $120. It was $175.00. The camera cost $350, was 3 months old. Ouch! I want to warn folks to shop around I don't pay $80 to my auto mechanic. He gets my car done in a couple of hours to a day. He is responsible about telling me what he can do and getting it done like he says he can, because I will be a returning customer. These guys apparently rape you the first time because you won't be back, and they are OK with that.
