OK, not for everyone, but if you've got a little slugger who needs to learn some skills, this is a great place to go. Way down in the industrial heart of Seattle, this hard to find place (it is right behind the Elephant Car Wash) is the place to go.
It is jammed with kids and most importantly coaches that know what they are doing. 5-weeks of one hour each are $225, so its a little pricey, but in one session, our Calvin threw 100% better. You can 3-4 kids in the same session for the same price, so that makes it very reasonable.
check it out before baseball season begins!

It is a terrific place if you can get in as there is literally a decade long wait list:-) or more important know folks who are members. They have really renovated the place over the last twenty years. It is a private club, so it is invite only, but the Olympic size pool is heated in the winter. The hot tub is great. They have a couple of restaurants and of course a mountain of tennis courts.
The big event is of course the tournament every summer. Since tennis whites are required, it looks like Wimbleton in the days of old rather than today's Opens that are more like grungefests imho.
Altogether the lawn dinners are wonderful. What relaxed country lifestyle should be like minutes from Seatt.e

I work here taking pictures of the people that go on the ride. I love ALL the captains, there a bunch of fun and really love what they do. The office/ticket booth people are really great as well! It really is a fun ride to go on even if you live here! The ride is 90 minutes and costs about $25 per person. It goes ALL over Seattle! If you do go try and pre buy the tickets because there usually sold out for the whole day by like 4 and GET THERE A HALF HOUR EARLY!!!!!! The seating is first come first serve and if you go with a group of 3+ and are the last to arrive chances are you won't get to sit together. They try and make it soooo clear to people but there is always the rude group that get there 5 min. after they loaded the duck and complain to everyone that they can't sit together. It really is a great tour though and if you do go make sure to sit in the middle because the back can be a little bumpy and the front although its the warmest part, you can miss stuff a little easier because it does go by kind of fast sometimes. This has been voted one of the things you MUST do in Seattle!

I visited the lawn bowling area at jefferson and I had no idea it existed before. Hidden in the back of the golf course, this place offers a very well maintained lawn bowling green and a good staff. This is a cool place to take your family on a hot sunny day if you don't feel like going to the beach. Well maintained facility.

This is the hubcap in the wheel of Seattle tennis. The great thing about the Amy Yee Tennis Center is the junior walk-ins: if you are under 18, you can get to play on the indoor courts for free as long as one is open. They have a lot of lessons, ranging from pure beginner to fairly advanced, and they host many tournaments throughout the year. They are very focused on serving the community, and the staff are very very friendly and try hard to get tennis across to the entire state.
