I have visited this garden several times but today was transforming - there was a Japanese music duo playing music in the garden. Everyone should know! They play lovely music in the garden on Sunday afternoons! I had to blink to remind myself that I wasn't in Japan - the combination of the scenery and the music was just like stepping into another world.
Pros: Wonderful ambience. Low-cost healing for the soul.

As a Phoenix native, I had never even heard of such a thing as a Japanese garden. It was so beautiful to me! I especially love the Koi pond. The gardens were so beautiful and there is such a tranquil peace that surrounds them. If you have questions - someone is there to help or they will leave you alone as well. I appreciated that the most. I think this should be a top tourist spot - especially for those of us from the desert!

This place is amazing! I chaperoned a field trip with my son's class, and we took the kids here. The ladies giving the tour were very good with the kids, and really took the time to answer thier questions and show us around. It really is beautiful. They have a fish pond with huge koi and turtles which they let the kids feed, which was a huge hit with them.
PROS: breathtaking
CONS: none

This is a beautiful garden, full of colorful foliage. It's a bit hidden in the arboretum, but worth the search; a perfect little trip for a lazy weekend day. Plus it's cheap to get in!

PROS: Beautiful garden that won't see anywhere else in town.
CONS: A little hard to find in the arboretum for those new to it.

The Seattle Japanese Garden is located in the Washington Park Arboretum. It is a special garden, that??s well maintained and absolutely gorgeous to visit in the spring and summer. Wedding photos are commonly taken within the garden, since they offer such a unique backdrop. There??s a tea house where tea ceremonies are held on occasion. The entry cost for adults is $2.50, students and seniors enter for $1.50, and children under 5 enter for free.

A lot of people I asked don't even know
that Seattle has a Japanese garden.
This one is great and with the amount
of rain that the PNW gets, this garden
is excellent in species and color.
