This is a really nice little comic store. It’s actually more like a regular store of some other type than a comic shop—by that I mean less “specialized” products, things that would appeal to a mass audience rather than just comics readers. They carry comics, trades, toys, figures, sculptures, games, pictures (of movie stars and more), and other comics related merchandise. They have a knowledgeable and friendly staff, and it’s a truly fun place to go in.

This place has been open forever and has survived even with the decreased popularity of comic books and trading cards. As a kid I would always come down to pike place to check out what they had new at Golden Age. The people here are very friendly to kids because they know that a majority of their business are from kids. That is probably why they are one of the few comic book stores still open.

Y'know the Comic Book Guy on the Simpsons? This is his shop. It is heavy on the Marvel/Figurine bent that I'm not really into, but I go for the small alternative comics collection, and the large bins of cool movie posters. I got a great one from "The Blob" there once. They also sell actual screenplays, and black and white star glossies. Golden Age Collectibles is not a destination, but if you are wandering about the Pike Place Market and like comics, you should make a point to stop in . . . they do have a lot of stuff.

Golden Age Collectables offers an amazing depth and breadth of selection in the area of pen-and-paper RPGs, D&D manuals, comics, sci-fi/fantasy interests, and more. It's easy to spend an hour browsing the selections of models, books, and comics, as well as drop quite a bit of money here on the hard to find.
The location inside Pike Place is both a positive and a negative--coming here can easily become a day trip with all the other stores in the Market to explore, but it also makes parking a sometimes frustrating challenge. If you're in downtown Seattle, Golden Age is well worth stopping by.

Golden Age Collectibles is a must stop during any Pike Place Market visit. It's a fanboy's delight with a plethora of comics, movie and sci-fi memorabilia. So much so, in fact, the aisles are somewhat crowded and it is difficult to move around. Many items are overpriced, but there are many unique finds to be found here.

If you're looking for the latest copy of Spiderman this is a good place to go. They've got a huge selection of new comics and a ton of old comics. Beyond that they have the standard comic book shop things. Plenty of posters, signed pictures of celebrities, tons of action figures and other toys. The staff know what they're talking about as is to be expected. They are friendly and eager to interact with customers. Some of the collectibles might be a little overpriced but the selection makes it a worthwhile trip.
