When our relatively well-behaved Bullmastiff, Bella, was 2 1/2, we decided that she could behave even better. At the time, our baby was 6 months. We wanted to reinforce Bella's training and build on our relationship.
We enrolled in Susan's Basic Obedience class. Bella LOVED going to class with Susan and all of the other dogs. All dogs ADORE Susan. Bella was the oldest in the class, and it was actually great...Bella thought she was a superstar since she had a head start on some of the commands.
We followed that class with the Intermediate Class and Bella loved that one as well....mastering the obstacle course.
It was a GREAT experience for dog and owner. It gives you a chance to dedicate your attention and praise to your dog, so reinforces your relationship. I highly recommend it!

We have taken our dog through two of Susan Oshie's classes: Basic Obedience and the Intermediate Class. Our pup has learned all the basic commands (sit, stay, come, lay down, etc) as well as some more fun activities like jumping through a hoop and walking on a ramp. Our dog LOVES to go to class and is always excited to see Susan! She is a wonderful and patient trainer and more importantly has taught us how to train our dog! We've been very happy with the results from taking the classes.

It takes a certain kind of stupidity to bring home a puppy when you have a four-week-old baby.
We are that kind of stupid.
And this could have been disastrous if Susan Oshie and Paws4Training weren't there to help. We took her puppy manners class then followed up with several one-on-one sessions.
The baby is now 18 months. The puppy is 18 months and one week. And they get along great. There haven't been any biting incidents, any inappropriate chewing disasters, or even any accidental tail-thwackings, thanks to the positive training tips Susan provided.
