We took the locks cruise during sunset. Seeing the city as well as the mountains at twilight made it worth every penny (it is fairly expensive). This was a birthday gift so I guess its easy for me to say but I wouldn't regret paying for it. The trip was so romantic and beautiful.
The tour guides were pretty informative and the crew was friendly. I think its great for both tourists and locals. You learn a little bit of trivia and if you are new to the area a lot about the different neighborhoods of Seattle. It gives you a good sense of the city. But besides all that, its just fun to go out on a boat trip once in a while and see the salmon jump! :)

The Seafood Fest in Ballard is worth checking out if you like your fish and crustaceans. Every vendor selling food must offer at least one dish that includes seafood. You'll find tandoori prawns, crab cakes, grilled salmon, etc. There are also plenty of non-food vendors hawking their wares. It's a good family affair, with entertainment, good food, and a chance to enjoy summer at it's best.

More
This building, formerly called the Columbia Tower, has a observation tower on the 73rd floor with a low admission price. On a clear day, you can see Whidbey Island to the north, far to the south and Bremerton and the Olympics to the West. The design of the building doesn't give a very good north-east view, but for the admission price and being able to look down on the buildings below, it beats the pants off the Space Needle. The building is open Monday-Friday. Check in with the security guard on the 5th Avenue lobby level and they'll sell you your tickets (around $5 for adults - student discounts available!) and escort you up.

Bada Lounge - if you walk down 1st avenue in Belltown you'll probably not even notice it. The front of the lounge is very narrow, and once you enter the door, you have to go down a narrow hallway to enter the main area. This is a great place to relax on plush chairs, listen to chill electronic music, and enjoy the futuristic decor. A huge screen is draped in middle of the lounge, and crazy images are projected onto it, such as kung-fu fighting movie clips and weird fish. This is not really like other venues in Seattle; it has more of a NY feel to it. It's pretty trendy, for the martini drinking type. Personally, it's not my type of place although I can admit to having a good time here. I'm more into laid back dive bars where I can wear jeans; meat markets are not too enthralling. If you are looking for a trendy, yuppie, predominantly Asian crowd...this is your place.
people here dress better than other venues in Seattle, but still I'd consider it to be casual.

Although the manager likes to interupt the hall with overly loud annoucements during the game with what one may call a "bad attitude", that i believe could wait till intermission, the hired staff itself can be Smug to newbies while they dote on the regulars. They do have seating area outside for smokers with a loud speaker so you can still play if you need to smoke before the break! Which brings me to the multi intemissions for smokers, a normal 3 hour game session turns into a 4 hour because of this. Pull tabs..... the ladies that run the tabs are in general polite, but could speed it up a little ok ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!! The rest rooms. Absolutly GROSS!!!!! With the money this place brings in they could at least fix the toilets which have signs that ask the person using it to hold the handle until it flushes, thats just lazy & rude! If you are one that is annoid easily or has a lack of patience like myself, then is NOT the hall To choose!

A couple of co-workers and I went to the Bite this year and it was underwhelming. Thank goodness it was free, but the food booths were a smidge better than stuff you'd find at a state fair. Why can't they get some good restaurants in there? Granted there are a few local restaurants represented, but it seemed like there were a lot of fried food, roasted corn, and strawberry lemonade. This is the same stuff you see at the neighborhood fairs. The bite really "BITES".

Come give this place a visit. Both are located at the Science Center and are basically neighbors as the walk to each theater takes about 2 minutes. Both have huge screens and comfortable seats. The seats in the Boeing Imax theater are very plush and provide a great experience. The Eames are little bit hard, but that will prevent you from falling asleep. When you find a movie you like come here and watch it, it's fairly cheap!

More
The Boeing Company is the greatest Airplane Company in the world and has competed with every other Company in the world. How do I know? Well, I am proud to tell you that I worked for the Boeing Company for 40 years.
The Boeing Company offered me, an individual, to make my career a complete success in life, raise my family and also see many parts of the world. The Boeing tour is a marvelous thing to behold, especially for the young who are interested in aircraft of all sizes and models. You can learn a lot if you are attentive to the tour guide and ask questions that you may think could not be answered. It is well worth the time and price. The museum is another great place to find many items of interest.
