gameworks is the ultimate place to go if you have kids, or are a kid yourself. thier HUGE selection of arcade games will keep you busy for hours. you don't even have to worry about bringing quarters/cash because all the games run off a re-boostable credit card that you put money onto. simply go to the front counter, and they will put as much money as you want on the card, then go to a game, slide the card, and play! they also have a good selection of prizes that kids (or you) can redeem by turning in tickets you have won. they also have an on-site restaraunt and billiards.

What a great place to go and escape reality for a bit! This place is packed with video games, interactive games like skiing, bowling, race car driving. Plus, what is really fun is the 'simulated car race'.
Upstairs there is an eatery that has great pizza. And, there is a nice variety of 'older' games like PacMan. :)
Price is well worth the time and entertainment value.
Parking is rather difficult and expensive, since location is in downtown Seattle. It is a nice walking distance from the ferries.

Gameworks is a high tech video arcade. They have classics such as Galaga and Pacman, as well as some of the latest games. There are games in which you move--Alex and I played one where we were white water rafting, and the machine simulated the turns and bumps, as well as a rather fun one in which we physically shot up to thirty feet in the air to mimic actions that we were doing on this huge screen. There are also skill and ticket games, such as skeeball, basketball, and virtual baseball.
Minors are booted out at 10 PM, which helps ease gaming anxiety. We had fun, but we got bored after a while. But it was a good step back in time.

My husband and I would go to GameWorks on dates, just to play some games and have fun. That was then...this is now. It is very pricey for what you get. Add that to the parking fee you will undoubtably pay, it just isn't worth it. If you're looking for some classic games though, head up to the 2nd floor! I think they're pretty inexpensive to play as well.

Now that I'm out of my teens, I don't feel there's a lot for me at Gameworks. Centrally located in downtown Seattle, Gameworks is a mecca for teenagers looking to play games and hook up with each other. There are tons of games, with a bar and restaurant upstairs.
I think I'll pass.

I found games of all shapes and sizes here. Kids of all ages were playing them, too. From an simulated Indy race to piloting a combat fighter, there are games for people with a 'need for speed'. There's bowling, inline skating/skiing, pinball, and..of course, video games. I believe I even saw a Pacman game for those so inclined. There was a section for the older crowd that brought back good memories.
They sell food, have meeting rooms, and provide a wonderfully entertaining environment. Prices are reasonable.
Plus, I know they help out the community and nonprofits when asked. That's nice.

Gameworks is freakin expensive for the games. WAY too much. However it is located in the middle of downtown and offers a great selection of video games. Also a good happy hour menu. The way to save money is to get an hour play card. Otherwise it's not worth it. The staff are somewhat unfriendly at times. Seems like they deal with a lot of annoying people.

If you are looking to play some videogames here, you pretty much have to get an hour play card. It is pointless to pay as you play because each credit is at least 25 cents more than at other places. For example, playing one game might usually cost 75 cents somewhere else, but it will cost 1.25 here. Security here is always beefy, which raises my eyebrow about how safe it is around here.

I was in high school when Gameworks first opened and it was where everyone went after school. But after a couple of years of taking abuse from the management people found out that it was not worth it anymore. Right now Gameworks is really struggling to get people to come back. Because of that, there are always deals out for people that are over 21 in the bar and for games. It is worth a second trip back. Still kind of expensive though

I always seem to have a really good time when I go to Gameworks. I can't handle this much more than once every 3-4 months (max), but it's nice for an occasional night of gaming. It isn't cheap, but also isn't so expensive that it breaks the bank. There are also coupons you can get that make the entire thing a bit more affordable. One last suggestion is to bring a group of friends.
